Well - finally moved back into second place this weekend with an uphill chase remaining after a CBR 1000 for the championship - Got by in first round of 19 bikes - had .009 light in final time trial. Had solid lights - finally settling down after putting the chain and new clutch in - rollout time improved by about .03 making red lights a problem - ran with .011, .023, and .051 (loss) lights in the eliminations. 3 left standing including the CBR - he took runner up and has 17 point lead with 4 races remaining. Busa dropped to third. ZX12 moved into fourth with event win. My loss was 11.73 on an 11.63 dial - botched the launch w/a 1.79 - 60'- was dialing for 1.70 60'. I noticed that I had not pegged the throttle on launch - OUCH! Bike is about to go into end of season lockdown - i.e. NO CHANGES - as I need to take my best to this chase and can't be messing around with any more adjustments.... Had a great time this weekend....KSP

Those are great reaction times! Have you ever run below your 11.63 dial in? What setup do you have for your fastest runs right now?

I breakout on opccassion and dial differant times every race depending on the weather, etc. Best pass to date = 11.567 @114.xx MPH. 1.675 60s. Set up = Shift light, Pingle Electric Shift, 22/66 Chain, SE1 VMODs, Race Tuner Rev limit @ 9,800 - shift light @ 8625 rest is head room. Launch @ 6,000 RPM Drop Clutch and Rollon - both agressive - my home track is very sticky..... never problem with traction - Power shift first to second - electric shift 2-5. Top Speed is 117MPH @ 9,000 RPM with current final drive ratio.

Sounds like you are setup pretty nice for the 1/4!
I guessing I could see some improvements in the neighborhood of:
-couple of tenths with chain ratio
-tenth or so with shifter
-tenth or so with race tuner, higher rpm

Is this a decent estimate, in you experience?

I currently have v-mods, PCIII, SE flash, K&N filter, 28T.
Understanding that you still have to be consistent launching.

Yes - I would estimate that you could pull .5 (.4 to .6 range) with that combination - which is what I netted doing the same. I was generall running 12.05-12.15 with your combo - mid summer. I am now running 11.6 to 11.7 range mid summer. I do not run for peak ET - I could probably run .2 to .3 faster via harder launch (off rev limiter), higher shift points especially 1-2-3 and button shifting 1 to 2.. I may play for speed at end of season. when it gets cold without much humidity but now I am chasing the championship. With my first round red light last week I almost need to run the table over the next 3.... same position as I faced last year..... KSP ( BTW - additional gains can be found in lighter 2 into 1 (.1 to .2 asn lighter wheels andoth .1 or so). KSP

Uphill climb for me Kim - maybe I will make a saying do it early and do it often - winning that is - championship strategy - otherwise it is the blitz attack at the end . How is your racing coming these days.... I can't figure out why you can't get any of those midwestern boys to come out and play with you the track.... but it is good to see you out there
