Hey There
I am in the market for a new seat for my 06 SE, I am looking at either the Corbin Young Gun or the CFR. Both are very close in pricing and are both very nice looking seats. Just looking for some input or opinions. Thanks in advance.

My dad had a custom seat for is SE made, check my gallery, might be another option for you. Not to much more than the corbin.

I would prolly go with the CFR if I were you. Guess I am biased tho as I have a CFR. It looks killer on the bike. Although if you have a new bike that came with a 240 I don't think they have a CFR that will fit it yet.

06 SE will fit any seat that the 06 and older bikes do. I have used stock and a SE seat on my bike.

Wasn't there a problem with the way some corbins fit? If I remember correctly there was a gap issue with some.

I have the leather Saddleman Profiler on my SE2. I love it. You can view it in my Gallery. It is quite a bit cheaper than CFR or Young Guns.

Hey Nice Bike
How was the fitment of your seat, I dont run a base plate on my fender so I need to make sure there are no gaps to be dealt with on the rear portion of seat. Thanks in advance

I bought an unused Corbin Young Guns seat for my "06 A from a forum member and it did not fit well at all. It sits in my basement in the original box. You are more than welcome to give it a try if you want. I've got some buddies going to Revelstoke sledding this weekend and they can take it along if that works for ya.

It sure seems like regularity on the poor fitment of the Corbin Seats. Thats a real bummer because they are quite expensive? Thanks for the offer on the seat, but I am in Edmonton right now on business so I wouldn't be able to meet up with them. Where is the fit issues on the Corbins?

My issue is with the latch and the rear fender. There is about 3/8"- 1/2" gap between the seat and fender. It looks like crap. Phoned Corbin to bitch about it and they said to sell it on Ebay and recoupe my money, ya that's a good idea..........pass the problems on to someone else....... Not!

The Saddleman Profiler fit pretty good with my baseplate. The small gap it had was in front of the baseplate. I used a small thin piece of weatherstrip sponge to seal that area. I don't think it is even visable. I feel without the baseplate on, it would have been a real snug fit. Not too bad on the comfort either.

I have a Corbin on my V-Rod and have been VERY HAPPY with it.

No fitment problems or quality issues whatsoever.

I have my bike up for sale on the site so if you are looking for other styles maybe mine will give you another idea.

FWIW: MIKE CORBIN ISN'T TOO HAPPY WHEN HE HEARS HIS CUSTOMERS AREN'T GETTING WHAT THEY WANT. A CALL TO HIM USUALLY GETS SOME ACTION.

Bullsht, Mike does not give a shit about quality or customer satisfaction, if he did Corbin Saddles would not have the horrible reputation they have worked so hard for. Just a company full of liars and thieves.

I have a Corbin seat, I think it looks real nice and it's very comfy.

It was quite a bit of DIY and head scratching to MAKE it fit, but I was able to make it fit very well.

I'm seriously considering the CFR. Did it maintain the stock seat height?

It may sit a tad lower and back, but good luck finding one they are pretty scarce these days.

I agree with you on the CFR seat. There are none left new in stock with CFR so they will be a hard find...

You might check out Bitchin Seats..Very expensive, but very high end. I have many seats over the years and some high end and there vrod seat is awesome...We just got one and the can make the seat to fit you to the bike...In our discussions he indicated that he can do that..You might give him a call and let him tell you how his seat is different, and I believe you will find that it is for sure, question are you willing to pay the difference...The owner is very accessible to explain the process and after hearing of his resume he is very qualified in the custom seat arena..He can also share his history with the CFR design seats...Just my experience... All of my bikes have had a Corbin seat, but it's really a personal preferance. Prior to Corbins, I tried three of four others and liked the Corbin best - now I don't try any others.

my experience is that corbin has and does adjust the curve of my seat to accomadate my bone graft, etc. Just order thru the web and follow your order with phone call the day you order. Some of the patterend leather looks funky at first but wears done to look cool after 6 months of butt love.
