finally finished the rider seat and installed to get some pix. now I have to go on a search for some gel pads. then I can staple the covers in place. they appear a little baggey right now and the backing leather is showing at the back of the driver seat right now since it isn't stretched properly yet. but its enough to get an idea of how they will look. I still have to make the strap that goes on the front of the pillion, just didn't have enough stingray or python to make it, and still haven't decided which leather to use for it.
so, opinions? what do you think, too much, not enough or just right?

sorry about the lighting, I loaned my digital out, and was stuck shooting with my camcorder without a backlight.

Good job to this point, let us know how it ends up. Working seat material is an art. A good heat gun and a lot of patience is needed.

thanks max. I didn't notice that I had the white center row stone a little off center when I stretched it on til it was too late. when I place it permenantly I'll have to be sure to get that straight and centered. it really does try your patience as you said. one thing for sure, I won't ever have to worry about sliding off the seat. the sting ray has a pebbled texture that is kinda cool feeling.

thanks Kschues. I haven't worked with leather for quite a few years, but its comming back to me. the onr thing I don't have anymore is my leather sewing machine, it was lost in a house fire a few years ago along with all my leather tools. fortunately I was able to get a hold of a heavy duty sewing machine that did the trick, just not as fast. as for the how to, sure, I'll put something together this evening. thanks again for the encouraging compliment.
