if they atleast were a similar design it would be a fair call ,,, but I doubt anyone can say they have seen a V rod with 2 valves per cyl ,, or pushrods ,,, and they're nothing like a typical HD motor either ,,, hence they are another example of why abortion's are legal

I agree totally, they would not count as the 2 fastest V-Rods in my book.

TERRY VANCE HAS WON TITLES AND SO HAS MATT HINES,WHAT NATIONAL
EVENTS OR TITLES HAVE YOU WON KAZ?IN ANY CLASS, HEADS UP OR BRACKET RACING.HOW MUCH TIME HAVE YOU SPENT WITH LED LIGHTS?I PRACTICE EVERY DAY AND STILL RED LIGHT.THE LED LIGHTS IN MY OPINION ARE HARD TO GET USED TO.AND WITH THE EXTRA WIEGHT YOU'D BETTER BE ON THE TREE OR YOU LOSE. HOW MANY HOLE SHOT VICTORYS WAS THERE LAST WEEK IN ALL THE PRO CLASS'S? MORE THAN A FEW. INOVATE INSTEAD OF DUPLICATE AND YOU TO COULD BE LEADING THE POINTS FOR A NATIONAL
CHAMPIONSHIP.THEY DO THE BEST THEY CAN AND IF IT BRINGS HARLEY
THIER FIRST PRO STOCK BIKE CHAMPIONSHIP MORE POWER TO THEM!
I PERSONALLY LOVE THE FACT A V-TWIN CAN COMPETE WITH A FOUR CYL.
HOPE TO SEE YOU IN VEGAS AT THE TRACK IN OCT.I'LL BE BRINGING
3 V-RODS TO COMPETE WITH I'AM SURE YOU'LL BE THERE WON'T YOU KAZ?

AS WAS SEEN AT SONOMA THIS LAST WEEKEND.(TOP FUEL,FUNNYCAR,PRO
STOCK CAR, PRO STOCK BIKE) I BELIEVE THERE WAS AT LEAST ONE RED LIGHT IN EVERY CAT.

Andrew red lighted in the semi's. The only way he was going to beat Antone (sp?) was on the light. John Force also red lit; first time Ive seen him do that in a long time.

we were playing on the practice tree in a friends shop (full size tree) ,,, drinking waaaay more beer than is smart ,,,, I kept hitting .025's even though I couldnt navigate well ,,,,,, guess I could launch but would need a designated rider LoL

My observation regarding red lights - He who lives by the sword die by the sword - my last two on Sunday fun street racing was a .496 and a .503 on a .500 tree. A few weeks back I ran 5 rounds in a row with best light in the field (qualify for by-run) then hit the redbulb in the next - had a couple .503 and a .501 in that group as I recall. was running gamblers against top class cars with delay boxes went to finals.... Of course prostock is a differant game - I believe that it has alot to do with clutch setup as they drop the hammer as soon as they see the light. I have also been struggling with a new setup - chain and new clutch - roll out is a few hundreds quicker than belt and I have to sit on the third bulb a bit prior to launch...... therefore I can redlight easier than prior setup....... We will see how things work out this weekend - I am chasing again in third place for the3 points... KSP

KSP,
I just went to a chain drive from a 28 tooth belt. How much improvement did you see in your 60' and ET when you converted?

kspz3
08-06-2004, 09:18 AM
from 28 tooth set up to 22/66 = .1 to .13 or so in 60 (current best @ 1.67 which will improve by year end - equates to approx .2 in quarter - geared for full 5 gear pass with top speed at 117@9,000 RPM. Ran best ET @ 11.567 with very hot, humid air - it will run in the 11.4 maybe 11.3x under the very best conditions...... (note 850 lbs bike and rider).Prior best was 11.59 with excellent condition. I ran against Clay and his rentarod in Seattle in qualifying and was impressed. I'd like to see someone else do it and see what they could do.

Jack - absolutely - as the old saying goes weight is horsepower - I am about 210 with leathers and the bike is in at 630 or so depending on how much fuel I run with - I chose to customize vs stripping it down - which of course does not optimize ET - also I have a routine that is aimed at consistency - this also does not optimize for best ET....but that is my program. Hey Leadfoot , did you stop by our pits in Seatle ? I hauled Clays bike out (besides others ) I was the short guy helping out with the street-pro buell

KSP ,, Clay is far from a lightweight ,, I'm guessing he had the rent-A-rod done in about 30 minutes or less ,,, and back together even quicker

Hi Jack, Hi Dave,
Jack are you going to be in Bristol? I'll be heading over on Thursday with a trailer full of V-Rods. I may be the only one making the trip so I will need your help getting these thoroughbreads to the line. I didn't make it to Sturgis. Chris Carr is to blame for that as we celebrated his win on Saturday night in Farley, Iowa with a little to much Crown. I would have needed to leave by midnight to get there for qualifying and it wasn't going to happen. So the posative side is the Rods are loaded and race ready.
Dave I'm still thinking about Woodburn but Vegas is a sure thing.
Bye Bye

August 21, All Bike drags at Wichita intl' Raceway in Wichita Ks. Lots of Harley's and everything else. Always a good time. Track is pretty nice and WIDE all the way to the return road, Plenty of shut down as well( its on an old air strip). Anyone gets down there, look us up. We will be in LATE Friday night, probably hang out at the track , then race Sat. PLUS it will be my 40th B-day while there. ( sounds like trouble) he he he
