Good luck Kim - I would come out and play if it were not so far away..... This week we will be racing in the streets of Pittsburgh between the stadiums - @ Pittsburgh Thunder - HEads up - 330 ft and I think there is a grand for fastest Harley - Now that a good enough reason to consider launching off the rev limiter.....KSP

Hellyeah! Let us know how it goes - GOOD LUCK!!!
Last night? Let's see...
24 bikes in the $$ class, I think maybe 6 in Trophy. None in Novice. There was a gal from Milwaukee on a stock ZX10 doing 140 through the traps... two silver and one lipstick-red Hayabusa... Yeah, I know... I really need to get a digi camera and start takin' pictures...
Saw a bunch of guys from my old HOG chapter (Chicago HD)... they rode up to spectate... mine was the ONLY V-ROD TO BE SEEN.
They say if you never red light, you're not trying hard enough. Well, I got bit by the red-eye'd monster first round of practice... then made three progressively quicker passes...
First round of eliminations paired me up with a guy on a Sportster with a 15-something dial-in (I signed in at 12:30). Wish I had noticed his time before we staged... I sat there with the clutch in and the revs up... waiting... waiting... he was about halfway down the track before my first yellow light came on... Sheesh!!
Later, I laughingly told the announcer that "I'd thought the starter had forgotten I was there!" LOL!
My 60' times still suck, but I'm spinning the tire a bit... John is going to start working on a chain drive conversion, see if we can make something work using one of my spare TL wheels (no, we're not gonna drop two grand to do this).
Yanno, ya'all really should try to come out one night and give it a go. The racers are all a really laid-back bunch of folks... lots of good-natured BS... nobody's taking anything overly seriously... and it's just a lot of fun.
I'll go through my time slips later today or tomorrow. Think I managed a new 'personal best' reaction time.

Let's see - you catch more bees with Honey....that would be your approach - I think they are just a bunch of girls - no that doesn't work - our girl is at the track - so isn't there any VRods in that area that can go to the track and show some support - at least sit in the stands and cheer (can't really talk about how fast your bike is or the great HP gains of latest accessories in the bleachers though....)...... What is holding this adreniliane loving crowd back - might as well get a moped or one of those posin customs, ...... that would be the vinagar argument, which of course I would never consider using - comeon guys - give Kim some company next week - ....KSP

LOL, a couple kids I work with told me that they had a buddy with a new Sportster race a woman on a V-Rod, and she smoked him! I take it that was you? :plause: I unfortunately had to work.

That must have been "XL1". Sometimes things just go well... On the other hand, there was a gal on a Buell that was giving me absolute FITS! Went heads-up against her TWICE - and both times she got me by a WHEEL!
All the more reason to keep coming back again and again and again...
Hope you can make it next week!
