I found a Destroyer rear wheel and tire, both new, in the back room of our local dealer the other day. Asked how much and the parts person said they didn't know but would find out for me. I went back a week later and was informed they had a price on the wheel and tire if I still wanted it. Said sure I still wanted it. You won't belive what they quoted me! $200.00, thats right two hundred dollars, and after my discount in came to 180.00. I paid for it and haven't been back to the store since. I'm afraid they have found their mistake and will ask for more money.

GREAT DEAL --FOR YOU!!!
SUGGESTION: Put it on a balancing maching before you mount it to be sure the wheel isn't out of round.

Check that rear wheel and make sure it doesn't have "For off road use only" on it. There was some concern that the front wheel wouldn't work on a street bike since it was lightened so much it couldn't sustain the side loads needed. I doubt the rear is weak but I would be careful if it had that stamped on it.

That is an excellent find.
You raise a very good point and some of the wheels actually have been found to go out of round / balance from being tied down to agressively when being transported.
Not a good idea for a street bike, but and excellent idea for a spare for the track with a new slick on it. Perhaps with a different size sprocket to experiment with or just for quick rear wheel changes. Just my 2 cents.

Its a track only wheel Joseph. Wouldnt be so smart to run it on your street bike. As Pat said, good spare for quick change outs, about it ;)
