Has any thought gone into a mildly stroked Revolution? With the big more kit can you get a little more stroke without chucking a rod at 9g?

I know many of you know more about engine performance than me, so maybe It's a "uninformed" question. If a big bore kit was going to be installed anyway, couldn't a mildly stroked crank add a bit more cc's without making it "square" or less? There may be a ton of reasons why this will not work, or be cost effective. Anyone have thoughts on this?
