Yeah, I know it doesn't look great but my bike has to be convertible to make it work for me. I do like showing off but I also like going places.
I was thinking about going with a RK type touring pack like Daniii has done but I already have the biggest Cruiserbag (http://www.cruiserbag.com/). The nice thing is I can have it off in 20 seconds. It was great on my last trip with it mounted on my passenger seat so I could lean on it. I've since acquired a luggage rack and now have more options for allowing a passenger.
So, for now I guess I'll hold off on the touring pak. One of these days I'd like to see how it feels behind a batwing but up until now I'm accustommed to full facial wind with a flip up helmet. Open face is not an option right now.

I like it too. And don't think that it doesn't look great because it has a couple of functional accessories.

Does an F-16 look any less intimidating because it's carrying a couple of extra extended range fuel pods and a two full wingloads of sidewinder missiles?

Sorry for the pics, It started raining so I took pics inside the garage. Put the bags on yesterday, got it for a good price off ebay. Planning on a long trip next week.

I really appreciate all the effort you made posting pictures of that Axio bag. I looked long and hard at it but I don't think it holds enough from what I can tell. Good for all the gadgets and maps though.
Let me know what you think after the trip.

I know, you're right. It's impossible to make a V-Rod look bad.

Looks good! Can you tell me more about that Givi trunk...like the model, volume, how it attaches to the luggage rack, etc. I would like to see a side shot and a rear shot if you've got them.

Givi E360. 36 liters - its basically the same dimensions as HD's tour pack for the Road king.

Good luck. the full model is E360 Monokey.. Universal adapter plate and backrest is extra..

Got a machinist friend who is working on a bracket to eliminate the luggage rack - let you know how that works out..

TheGeneral: Is your case not the E460? the E360 seems to be the side cases on the Givi website.

Yes I am sure, it can be used as a top or side case.. The 460 looked to bulky.

TheGeneral: On the GiviUSA website the E360 is now the side case with the handle, pictured below. The E460 is the top case. Here is the link: http://www.giviusa.com/caschi_borse_bauli_accessori.asp?CO_ID=9490

Here is the link to the E460 top case:http://www.giviusa.com/caschi_borse_bauli_accessori.asp?CO_ID=12126

It looks to me that the 40litre E360 can be used either as a top case or a side case...so it's still in the running for me. Just gotta buy a backrest and universal mount. The E460 is a bit bigger at 46 litres/ 1 inch taller.

Bigger is better I'm thinking.

If, so, then the E52 may be the ticket:

Another option is th v46. I like its looks and it holds two full face helmets and you can change the color of the top panel if you change bikes, or paint http://www.giviusa.com/caschi_borse_bauli_accessori.asp?CO_ID=9492

The Monolock series has smaller boxes that still hold a full face plus, and have pads and stop lights (on some models): http://www.giviusa.com/caschi_borse_bauli_accessori.asp?cat=352&lang=en

I would be concerned with the stock luggage rack and any significant loads.

well, we need those steels one, then. These look really spiffy.

I didn't like the reflectors on the E460... If you want to get a backrest the E83 is not available in North America. I got mine from http://www.bykebitz.co.uk/acatalog/C47_Backrest.html in the UK..

I tried the E370 on the bike (did not buy) and it is narrow enough that I could get the lids of my HD hard bags open, I assume it would work with the Corbin bags. It holds a fullface with room for a half helm or jacket. Almost went for it, but am still having problem with the scooter box stigma.

I don't want to take my Road King to the rally. Just doesn't make too much sense to me. so I will have to look into this. Thanks.

I will have to look into that. I use a tail bag (pics in gallery) right now when I travel but it is a bear to get on and off when I need something in the saddle bags!

I'd like to get ahold of a set of Road King Custom hard saddlebags to see if they could be fitted. I like how they use the same quick release as our airbox cover. http://www.bikez.com/pictures/harley-davidson/2004/20732_0_1_4_flhrsi%20road%20king%20custom_Image%20credits%20-%20Harley-Davidson.jpg
