This morning when I rode into work, the forecast called for clear, sunny weather. Well, sometime around two it decided to rain...and rain hard. It was pouring outside. Rain drops the size of gumballs. All I could think about was my bike out there in the rain and the sport bags getting wet. Although they came with rain covers I did not have them on.

So on my way out from work I'm expecting the bags to be soaking wet as well as everything I had inside them (tool kit, leatherman, ball cap, etc..). Got home and inspected everything and the only thing wet was the leatherman and the ball cap. Although the exterior of the bags were wet, the interior remained largely dry. Some rain had evidently gotten in and those items got soaked but everything else stayed dry. My bags kept almost everything dry in all that heavy rain! That totally rocks!

Hard to say...by the time I got out to my bike the rain has stopped. My guess is that it soaked through as the pellet sized rain drops came down in a torrent over the course of about two hours. Have to imagine that if rain had seeped in it would have puddled up at the low points.
