Hey guys I know some of you have mounted aux lights on your bikes, here's mine...it's the large kuryakyn bullets with 20w(I didnt want the 35, bec it was too bright and draws a lot of power) mounted to the forks via kuryakyns 49mm mount. It's bright enough as you can see from the pics...anyway, I used an inline 15 amp fuse, hot wired to the battery, then I modified a small bracket to fit a standard automotive switch that attaches to the left side handlebar switch assy. At first I was going to mount it to the engine guards, but I figured the forks will be a suitable and better place for it. Where did you guys mount your aux lights, and what kind do you have?...lets see some pics...

They look cool...do they actually throw a noticeable amount of light on the road, or are they more to make you visible to cagers.

I have the same setup on mine except that I bought the high output 50w bulbs from Custom Dynamics. They are super bright and if I had to I could ride with just them on. I also have a HID setup in my headlight.

Yes on both...they throw light mostly towards the sides and up/down, and they definitely get you noticed by cagers, you know it works bec. some of them gets pissed and throws their hi beams on after you pass, LOL.:D

Thanks guys...this is great! I've been wondering about aux lighting for a while now, and it's nice to see it all in one place! Keep the ideas coming!

Yep, that's what I'm hoping. Plus I had my HID go out on me a few weeks ago and had to ride home at night with no headlight. Thankfully I was with a couple of other riders that gave me a lighted escort home. That's what made me look for aux lighting. Now if I loose my headlight I can still get home with plenty of light to see where I'm going.

I got the same reason in my mind, that's why I wired it independently with it's own switch, "just in case" something like this happens. It happened to me in the past with my Road King, good thing I was only a few miles from home and was able to get there safe...turns out it was a blown fuse.

I never thought about aux lights until I bought my Road King. I have oncoming cagers flashing their high beams at me in the daytime! Now I am looking into some for the V. Thanks all for posting these.

It'll have to be the toaster, definitely. Gotta be able to do those microwave TV dinners, ya know.
