That is exactly what stefan wrote.
They were probably scared to get out of the van and were waiting for the cavallary.
Or it also be that he just got the job confirmation from the HL superstore and did not care any more.

LOL My Deutsch is getting terrible since I never use it. Hard to believe now that I spoke Deutsch before I spoke English. The joy of growing up there and being raised in a German household with 7 girls. :) I can still read and understand most of it but it takes me a few minutes to put it together. As far as speaking it forget it, my father however still retains his very well but then he spent about 14 years there.

Kaz we lived in a town just outside of Spangdahlem Germany in a town named Wittlich at the time in the 50's my father didn't make very much so we rented the upstairs part of a regular house (not like an apartment or even separate house, just the upstairs). We shared the kitchen and living room with the owner of the house a Heir Brouer and his family of 7 daughters. It was with the seven girls that I spent the first three years of my life. My mother and father both worked and the girls took care of me. They spoke no English at all so I learned to speak a mix of English and German which gave me a very hard time when I started school. I had a bad habit of mixing the two languages and making my own. Now you know the rest of the story.

Meine mutter komme von Deutchland - little town on the Donau river called Gundelfingen. Erika Reicherzer. She is still fluent although lost it for a while because she didn't go home for so long. She's been getting over there a bit more in the last 10 years, and for longer, so she's pretty good again. I'm hopeless.
