I really have no need to ever do that in my life time on a bike.
Probably not in a car either.

I had a busa they are really fast but look at that video again
that bike has gone down a few teeth in the front sprocket and added some in the rear .
that makes the speedometer read higher speeds
plus the street lines dont look like 220

My cousins turbo Busa would wheelie up at 120 MPH with extended swingarm...but i never did it or had the urge, but i watched him do it a track several times..so i am not so sure about it not doing it at 150.

i should also note that his bike is pushing 350 HP
he was told by the houston Harley dealership he could have free dynos , but NOT to bring it back when they are having demo's.

the lines in the middle of the road aren't going by that fast,
and look at the white car at the end of the video-- he AINT goin 100 by that car.

is a bad ass wheelie though

I have a friend that has a 6 second drag bike that has a busa that rear wheel hp is at 350(nitrous and a turbo). he says it will light the tire at 150, but I need to ask him if he's had it past 220 or not.

The video is slowed, not the bike!
A good Turbo busa makes you think that the speedometer is the rev counter - awesome!
340 km/hr with a turbo - "no problem" if you got the balls for it

I know a 400hp Turbo that could only go 208 on the Street so I have to CALL :bs: To 220 mph and I have the Cash to Bet YA! :diablo:

The stock busa makes plus 300 km/hr, so why should the same type of bike not even do 352 (220 MPH) when it's got twice the power (and the right transmission rate)?
Anyway, I don't bet on subjects I can't proove.
p.s.
KAZ,
how fast is the Tomahawk in real, I read some crazy figures for a bike without windshield
...I love that thing!!!

Something is wrong with the speed. I'm not sure but from my ride on a Busa it shifted out of first around 70mph at redline and this one shifts at 80 and still was not at redline. I'm not willing to make any bets but maybe someone with a busa can confirm the shift points for us. Here in the US they are supposed to be limited to 180mph without modification but my test ride didn't get over 140. :)

Isn't 340 kilometers = 204MPH? BTW turbo Busa clocked at 250MPH at Maxton - official one mile record.

Max, the early Busa's didn't have top speed limiters. Plus, all it takes is a race tuner to get rid of it. ;)

I don't really see how the bike would be turbo, as I hear nothing other than the exhaust, no blow off valve in between shifts or turbo spooling up. Perhaps a nitrous bike, but I saw no big RPM jump as is typical with a hit of the "juice" either....

That Busa video is a farse.... I had my CBR up to 145 and my Vrod kissin' 140 MILES PER HOUR, everyone who's goosed it up to those speeds knows that painted lines become a blur and cars (both comin' and goin') WHIP past you!
Nice video, just not real TV.

I think you are right, I played it with double speed and the speed indication still does not match with the picture...
DUMP IT!

As far as that Dodge Tomahawk is concerned.... I don't have much to say.
They don't let anyone ride it.
It has a 'projected' top speed of somthin' like 280 mph????
I heard that 1 engineer took it for a spin and brought it right back after getting it up to 25 mph! ha!
I saw it at a car show here in Detroit and it didn't look like a feesable ride... they could have made a better, more realistic ride if they built it as a trike!

Anyway, there is a company takin' Viper motors and shoe-horning them into boats!
Now there's a good use for a V-10

BTW... speaking of car motored bikes... a Boss Hoss dealership (?) opened up near my house, and everytime I ride past the building on my Vrod.... I get the feeling to just yell out.... I'M your BOSS.... HOSS!!
LOL everyone, you know you would too!

Is that whishfull thinking? Before I got my Rod I was actually considering buying one of those. I went to a store in Bremen (think they're gone by now) and was disappointed to learn that they had the show room empty cos they had them all on an exibition.
Only one left on the lifter without tank&seat assembled. Two exhaust mufflers the size of garbage drums (European Noise Rules).
In the end I considered the price/fun factor too high and here I am now with you guys :)

The speedo stops going up when it hits 220, and the tach is at 10,000 at that point. But the tach keeps going up to around 11,200. So, that would be a top speed of around 246 mph. I'd be surprised if the actual speed is more than HALF what's indicated. Everything goes by WAY too slowly.

It was one of those asinine V8 motorcycles (Kendon) that killed a V-Rod rider during bike week.(I don't remember whether it was the driver or passenger) The thing (I refuse to call them bikes) was brand new and I think so was the rider. The throttle stuck, he jumped off and the bike flew through an intersection hitting the V-Rod. Those POS bikes should be banned, kind of like the Corvair, unsafe at any speed :(

Sorry for the rant........
