: Destroyer at Gails HD in Missouri!
streetrodder06 02-23-2007, 03:15 PM I saw my first real live Destroyer yesterday!! I was out riding and decided to stop by Gails H-D. First off, there were three V-Rods. A leftover 06R for 14,000 and some change, an 07 AW, and A 07 NR Special. No prices on the last two. Went walkin around and there it sat. Man that bike is awesome looking. Low, sleek, and the wheelie bar sticking out. Looked a little closer and noticed the different buttons on the hand controls. The pipe looks like it could swallow a small dog!!! I am definitely impressed by this machine. Not to mention the wheels. I want em on mine!!! HD did good woth this one!!
vltchkr 02-23-2007, 03:50 PM Barnettes HD in El Paso has 3 the last time I was down there
KSCool 02-23-2007, 04:06 PM I've seen that very bike! I'd like to have that one just in case my neighbors made me mad. It'd be a great alarm clock at about 2:00 a.m.!!

Don't think those work on the street, they're for straight line applications. I think they would collapse in corners? Cool looking though.
JDR_ROD 02-23-2007, 04:49 PM Would you be able to run a Destroyer's exhaust on a standard VROD???

I gott em for mine check out my gallery. I've run them for more than 30 sec. in my garage with the door closed. Needless to say they are alittle loud, but I love em I'm sure some people will think they are obnocksious(spell?) kind of loud but :moon: is what I think of that. I haven't ridin the bike with them yet, but I don't think I will be able to forget the earplugs ever when riding now. They were cheaper than the indy for me to get and I like the looks better than the indy, I'm not worried about saving a couple more pounds in weight cuz I already got rid of seems like 100 pounds with the stockers
VRTURK 02-23-2007, 10:26 PM The destroyer pipes blacked out on your bike look KILLER!!!!

That looks AWSOME!!! How's you bike run?
nic_a_bod 02-24-2007, 11:44 AM I will make a post when I get the motor back from chopper steve and the bike put back together and tuned.
JEBSTER50 02-25-2007, 01:08 AM I like the pipe , and it looks like it would work as well as the Destroyer set up. I don't however, like your political avitar! I thought we were suppose to be apolitical? As a former US Marine and having nephews in the theater of war, it seems an insult to the Commander in Chief and possibly many of the soldiers currently seving on this sight! This is the wrong format for it! Nothing personal, I just find it offensive and am thinking that might be why it is there or maybe you think it is just a joke! Please give it some thought! Thanks, Jeb
nightrod81 03-04-2007, 08:28 PM will the indy pipe fit night rod specials with forward controls, i see the destroyer pipe fits with forward controls i thought that u wouldent be able to do that..

I don't know why it wouldn't, only thing I know of that would have a problem are the kosman(spell?) mid controls
RazoRRBlade 03-13-2007, 10:20 AM Would you have to retune the engine if you replaced the stock exhaust with the Destroyer exhaust? What is the legal dB for exhaust and what is the Destroyer exhaust? Would you ever be able to pass a cop with this exhaust on your bike w/o being F'd with. I love the Destroyer wheels and pipes and think they would look great on my 'X'.
Streetable Destroyer wheels are sold by RC Components; they are the RC Imposter wheel. If you look at the front Destroyer wheel, it even has 'RC Comp' stamped on it. I just can't decide if I want to go with the 18" (like on the Destroyer) or the 19" (as is stock). You can also choose between polished and chrome. Decisions...Decisions...
nightrod81 03-21-2007, 02:07 PM git them blacked out, with the 19 in the front, and then give them to me please..
