What is the forward facing turn indicator for?

I am thinking it indicates the data recorder is on.

The destroyer has a forward facing arrow indicator light. next to the oil and neutral lights.

It's not a shift light is it?

No, The shift light is the big red light in the middle of the handlebars.
The arrow indicates the data logger is recording.
