I was wondering If any one has put the 2nd gear in the Trans. on a Destroyer yet. If so how did it help you 60 foot times.

I've heard it should definitely help but I really don't think it's legal in the VRD class. OK in ET and SG. Also pretty hard to check. I'm thinking about it next time I tear my B model down.

On Vance/Hines website said it was AHDRA legal. I will check with them and let everyone know.

On the V & H website there are two sets. The 1.6875 (from 1.68) is legal. The 1.80 ratio gear is not compatible to the Destroyer. Thats the one I want. I also wonder if going from 1.68 to 1.6875 does much. The 1.80 definitely.

Legal modification for AHDRA Destroyer Class

I've been collecting parts and info for modifying my 03.The reason I want to go w the V&H straight cut 2nd gear is for better hp transfer and durability.
You might contact V&H for the rules on the other ratio since they offer it.
