I saw that V&H sells a straight cut Destroyer 2nd gear to fit other models.
I'm in the process of gathering thoughts and ideas for my 03 A for street durability when I finally send it to Eagle.
Are there straight cut gears in the Destroyer for 3rd and 4th? If not,why not?
Are the forks,drum,bearings and shafts different in durability in the destroyer?

So where are you on your research?? Inquiring minds want to know!!!!

I am considering making a mod to mine before something ugly happens.

So would you replace with the latest and greatest HD parts OR 1 of the 2 V&H mods??

Since I got the X I've slowed down on the 03.The 1130 runs so well I can't bring myself to ripping it down.I do need to paint the frame.The coating should last untill after the Rally,this will be when I collect the rest of the parts that will be above and beyond what Eagle offers for the BB I choose.

In the mean time I am looking to install a Falicone crank,proper Ex cams and TB's in the 1250.

Shaft and all gear are the same as OE, 1st and 5th straight cut like OE. It is just the Dog Rings are machined different. Instead of 6 ears and 6 smaller slots for them to catch there are 3 large slots and 3 ears the same size as the original 6. It just gives you a better chance of engaging gears with the air shifter and not missing shifts. Other then that the shift acuator is slightly modified as well to actually lift the shift are .090 more. Other then that the transmissions are the same.
