I took off my airbox to put braided sleeves on my throttle cables and I found the gasket looking like this. Looks like it was still a good seal, so I hope I didn't get any water or grit into the intake from it.

Well it looks like a small gap maybe but at least it was on the rear cylinder and facing the inside of the cylinders and not the outside. So I doubt it did any damage at all.

No. I never removed it before. As far as I know, this is how it came from the factory--- either that or the local dealer had it off for service.

I would show the dealer that.Could be replaced by them.new on probably costs $3.
