Jan-Dirk 07-04-2006, 06:52 AM Kaz, putting a shim under the safety valve spring of the oil pressure relief valve won't help much IMHO. The stock opening pressure is supposed to be 88 psi, which should be absolutely sufficient for any RPM and/or engine load. It is more the pressure at idle or low rpm that concerns me. The manual states an oil pressure of 44 psi at 3000 RPM and 70° oil temperature - this is well below the above mentioned 88 psi - the safety valve is still closed at that pressure (with or without shim). | ||
