He said he has 2 Motor Programs"Big/AMA" "Small/AHDRA" and would swap engine for each different race. The weight is also a factor. They added about 75lbs last year and still needed More!

Kaz - Tripp took the AHDRA opener - he ran 9.754@138.54 - no sign of him at the AMA Prostar event. They have published the ladder - Jamie will run McWalters first round - it looks like only 4 bikes qualified. So it will be semis then finals.

They had to bolt weights on to the bikes to comply with the new rules. You can see them bolted to the frames in the pics I posted in the gallery. I belive Jamie ran a 9.86 in qualifing, the weight is killing them.

Jamie wins first round as McWaters Redlights - Jamie ran 10.029@140.69
Larry loses to Underwood - running a 9.834 to Underwood's 9.485@139.3mph. Warrior vs VROD in the finals!

Thanks to all for the support this past race weekend! A lot of people came out to Gainesville from Daytona to watch the races, see the bikes, and have good fun with us. Thanks and I hope to see/meet some of you again in Atlanta 4/3-4. The overall interest in the bikes over the weekend was great, with a lot of Japanese bike owners really liking the looks of the new bikes this year, and the performance. (from a little 1130cc cruiser....hee, hee, hee....).

It was great for us, (yes all of US,...everyone in V-RodForums.com helps a bit too)) to win the opening Hot Rod Cruiser event of 2004.

One of the things that we are trying to work on with AMA the reducing the weight of the bikes in the class. We had to add about 120 lbs of steel to the bike to meet the 800lb bike and rider minimum weight!! AND all of the others in the class have to add 75-100 lbs too!...oh well, I hope they work with us.

I'll see if I can get some of the additional pics of the bikes loaded if anyone wants to see some close-ups.

Thanks for the support!
