Hi all. This is my first thread...Hope I'm not repeating something or asking a question that's been answered. If so, please direct me.

I am about to install a turbo and I know I am going to need a race tuner to install the map. My question is, should I go a head and get the rae tuner now and get it installed? Can I do anything power wise with it before the turbo kit?

If for some reason I don't get the turbo or post-pone the turbo, will I have wasted my money on something that I didn't need or can't use?

I know nothing about tuning and really don't want to mess anything up.

The race tuner isn't really something you install, it's a program that interfaces with your ECM and allows you to download new "maps" or "programs" into it. There's no reason to wait and in fact, with the upcoming demise of the off road only SE products I would get it now before it possibly becomes unavailable. You can then play with it and learn it before you have to get down to tuning your turbo. You should hook up with Jan-Dirk here on the forums, he is also in Germany and is doing a turbo as we speak.
