Since I live in Ohio, I was thinking of using 1550 Wiseco BB and having them machine the case. Any input pro or con on their parts, machining. Also will be using Carrillo Rods and a Falicon Crank. As a side note it will be all motor....NO BOOST....NO NITROUS.

What kind of price have you come up with for this kit so far. A few of us from VA are thinking of doing our own BB also.

Sorry guys but you don't buy a complete kit or get a group buy on a motor build of this type. I'am just getting started on the planning stage of what will take a year or more to get together. Was looking for info on WISECO since they are in Ohio. Let you know what I find out.

Thanks for the only real info on this tech forum. I was expecting some good info from some of the Big Bore crew. It always seems that the B.S. AND :offtopic: guys post for the sake of interfering in a legit tech forum. Rick, if you could tell me were and how much $$ for the machine work on the case as I will be doing the R+I and assembly myself. PM if you want.

If you really want to do it yourself thats fine. Call me and i`ll hook you up with every thing you need for 1600cc big bore kit. Why go 1550 when you can have 1600. The ole hotrodders rule, there`s no replacement for cubic displacement. Eagle HD 765-448-9132 Later Larry Edmondson

Hey Larry,

How streetable/dependable is that 1600? I wish you guys at Eagle would slow down a bit and let us little guys save our pennies before you keep upping the Cubic Inches for goodness sake!!!!!!!:surrender

Just as streetable/dependable as the 1550, and the best thing is it`s the same price$:thumb:Can`t slowdown there`s a whole lot of people gunning for us.WFO!

Been working on my 02 Deuce for 14 months and this is the 4th build on the motor. Everything in it is pushed to the limits. Total cash out of pocket:$13,000. This build has no balancers and the crank has been lighten, knife edged, and rebalanced. No stock parts but the case. Most parts and machining were done by Revolution Performance in Plymouth, WI. .Now that it is finished It is for sale and on to the 06V-ROD. It's a sick hobby but I got No wife, No kids, No problems. Ya right!

I'm going to wait untill the newest set of people go all out for the 1600 which by then maybe 6 months will have been superceded by god knows what and then I will step back in. I love the never ending quest for streetable performance from the boys at EAGLE!!:notworth:

Spoke to Larry about parts and machining, the man knows his stuff. I now know what I need to use to get to my goal. This is not a short term project. Will post the progress reports as it happens. Thanks to all for the info...... Larry and the team at EAGLE HD are the people to see for all your V-ROD performance needs. The results speak for themself..!

Can you share the info that you got. There are many of us on a small budget and working up for something like this would be great.

No secret, just set a goal and head for it. If money is a problem just buy a component at a time till you have all your parts. Be realistic in your buying and make sure you get to your ultimate goal. If you want a 1600cc don't spend the money on a 1250cc. This is the way I do it. It's not for everyone as I spend over 50% of my gross income on my motorcycles. Just ME, welcome to my world!
