Dynoed my turbo system. This post requires no comments on what I should have done, what you have done, or what you are going to do. This is posted for information purposes only.
Type turbo: RCC
HP 149.50
TQ 90.33
45% (+/-) over stock bikes.
The place I had this dynoed had a problem with their fuel/air probe so I will take it back for some fine tuning.
This is with the basic map sent with the turbo unit. It will be fine tuned for maximum output over the next few weeks as my schedule permits. Hoping to see between 155 and 160 on the HP reading.
Thanks Richard for such a unit for the Vrod and the tech suport you give. Thanks Kaz for making it available to us. It's been on the bike for about a year and has been nothing but fun. :thumb:

nice power, Should be fun to pull the trigger on that one!
Slash, that's the same thing I got with mine with the 7 1/4# spring. I got 155hp with the 81/2# spring. Trying for more this winter. Maybe NOS. Bill

What AFR are you guys with the turbos shooting for? Are you running up in the 13's or do you shoot for the 12's for safety when under boost?

do the turbos have much more effect on the top end speed of the bike or is it all in the gearing ?

The Higher"harder/more rpm or load" Loads the Turbo spining it Faster and making more boost! They will MPH or Back end"go Faster on the back half of the Track" then any other combo. As the Bottle doesn't go down or the Motor run out of Cam or the Heads quit breathing! They just keep making more and more exhaust driven"free" power till you limit the Boost or hit the rpm limit:deal: !The key also is go to Taller Gearing as the Turbo's Likes the Load and will run better then with a Higher gear set"Lower number gear=smaller rear sprocked or bigger front sprocket .Example 30T instead of 28T or 26T front or 70T instead of 72T Rear to go Faster at the Track and your Top end"!:2cents: ;) :kaz:
P.S If any of you Have anymore Real Word TURBO Questions just pm me or e-mail me at kazracing@cox.net I have a Little bit of Turbo V-rod knowledge, and will do my Best to share what I know:popcorn !

So do I understand that a 30 tooth set up would be better than a 28?

If you want top speed....that would give you about a 147MPH top end - 28 would limit you to 137 MPH as I recall - of course you would have less gear for launch but the extra HP should get ya goin pretty good even with the higher gears.... KSP

Oh Ya the Tall gear in the front"more Teeth" will Load the Motor"work it harder" producing More Boost and will Pull Longer and Stronger then any other combo! In LSR we get into 5th or 6th"depending on brand" as soon as possible on the Big Turbo Bike's and it's INSANCE:eek: When it's starts making Bost the excelleration is Like a Jet and keeps pulling till you hit the redline or blow off the back!N/A Naturally Assiperated"spelling?" Motors inless Very Big"1550+cc"need to be spun very Fast to make the same Power and have very light weight custom rods, cranks, pistons,to spin up faster.Big Bore Strokers have Great TQ and Power down Low but will never pull on the Big end like a Turbo.Same with N20"Nitrous" you lose pressure as you go down the track so yo start going rich"More fuel then Air" and you Loose Power!Sure for a second or two"on the Dyno" a N2O Shot will making Great Power but in the Real World you'd need a Scuba Tank on your back for a day of but kickin!:karate Big Bores/Strokers are just now becoming Reliable after many Failures! You just don't hear about them like some other's Mistakes:surrender !For the Power and Money"Normal people can afford"IMHO a Turbo System is the only way to go!Now a Built Stroker,Big Bore on N20 and ALKY to Boost my GT65MM Turbo would just be PURFECT if I had the Money to HAVE IT BUILT:broke: ! The 500rwhp V-rod will be here as soon as some smart Person invents some BILLET CASES to hold it all together:thumb: !I only Pray to be able to race one of these Babies in the near Future!:kaz:
