Super Kaz 02-13-2004, 10:40 PM Vinny,
I have a Feeling You will Be!"@120"
Glad to Help out a Fellow V-rodder ! Sam has Really Been Good to me and I want everyone to Know! :kaz:
Vinny 02-13-2004, 10:55 PM Sorry Eduarprmd.I won't be able to give you the stock #'s with the TT's.
Kaz,I also got my bracket made for the lid. :)
Anyone know where I can get a seatbelt?
tbaransk 02-14-2004, 05:08 AM VRODVINNY:
Which set did you get?
I haven't heard a soundbite of the TT's? I'd be interested in seeing a jpg of them on your bike with a soundbite if possible, your opinion on sound quality/quantity of ST's vs TT's.... and needless to say any HP increase over your ST's!!!
Keep the rubber side down!
Thanks! :notworth:
Vinny 02-14-2004, 09:18 AM Tbaransk I will keeep everyone up to date,on dyno #'s.
I got the full aluminized Jet Hot coated pipes. They will not rust,or blue.I will get a sound bite when everything is ready to go . SuperKaz has pics of them on his in the gallery. He also went from ST to the TT.Swears by them.
eduarprmd 02-14-2004, 11:49 AM Vinny, you have ST's right?
Congrats! All Riiiight! Damn and damn again. How difficult can it be? Right?
Wanna see people try different things out. I'm still on the guinnea pig stage and it's been fun.
I've been wanting to see about these for a long time now. You're sure to do well with them. Just post your config and sheets, tell him to have a thick line for a graph so it'll scan well.
While I'm one of Kaz's fans here :D , his application and intents with the bike radically depart from what most of us do with ours. Since anyones bike is basically stock when compared to his ride including yours and mine, your feedback will also help understand what's working. See the curves. Most of all I'm very interested in a very smooth transition curve wich I guess can be ironed well with something like the RT or PCIII, larger area under the curve means more power all the time. I got that with mine but am trying to shift the whole thing up in the power axis, whatever the numbers on whatever dyno your motor charachteristics should show.
My mechanic just got himself an 04VRSCB and ordered the ST's which arrived yesterday. He'll dyno on the same dyno I did. After which I'm wishing he gets the cojones to do some very and puposefuly illegal street racing of the extreme kind if possible, it'll totally depend on him. I'm still no fan of the ST look at all and really really love how mine look and sound over them by a significant amount of what cannot be measured but be sure of this, I'm almost hoping he kicks MY ass and that they do make much more power than the JM, it could be illegal for me to care less if mine are best (no cry baby here  ), however this seems very very unlikely as I keep tweaking with mine. If so better than mine I'll switch to ST's. At least I was thinking that until your post. Damn! I hate'chu man! If the JM turn out weak in comp (unlikely) I'll have to wait on you then. So try and do it as quick as possible. P l i i i i i i i i i i s!
(PS  I know I'm the slowest with the no time excuses. Still true.)
Michael333 02-14-2004, 03:10 PM Vinny, I got my 28T from TT - Sam is a righteous dude. 'Cept when I told him Kaz referred me he said he'd have to charge me double. :D
What I really appreciate about Sam is that he more than just fielded all my questions -- he was more than happy to share his knowledge.
eduarprmd 02-14-2004, 08:28 PM I keep hearing all this good things about this TT guy. If Vinny gets higher hp #'s on the same dyno from his V-Rod with the TT than with the ST (that's your baseline, and a good one), then that will be something to talk about. If I decide to change exhaust I'll switch to the aluminum pulley he also makes in place of the HD 28t I now have.
What I would like the most is to have more pics, my 3D mind image is incomplete for the looks dept. They look awesome in the B&W pic I've seen somewhere. Never seen one in person.
No! More than that, if less power derived please let us know. I know this is improbable but if true after all testing just say so.
Let me be a prophet here. This is gonna become one long thread     :diablo: .
Super Kaz 02-14-2004, 08:42 PM Here ya Go My Brother! :spank:
VrodG 02-14-2004, 08:46 PM Got to back up to Tillys again, maybe get a first hand look at that Bike!
eduarprmd 02-14-2004, 09:01 PM Those are ugly pics Kaz :slap: . The one in the background with the ST looks better :whack: . Any more on a street worthy V-Rod  .
I'm kidding, I mean ones with the finish that you have on yours. None of those are close to a cutie like my bike if I may say so myself. Certainly if you put them besides your own bike some will not notice right away it's the same exhaust on diff bikes.
What is it that would make these pipes so much better in performance than others? And I mean this as a real question. No sarcasm.
Super Kaz 02-15-2004, 12:12 AM They are a Full system/Equal length!
Vinny 02-15-2004, 10:26 AM Those are racing pipes. They have been tuned and tested.
Kaz gave me an idea awhile ago to make my own pipes.I sat down and priced evrything to make them.Parts where up to $450.I would then have have then put on a flowbench to make sure that each pipe flows the same$50 a pop. Then I would have to have them coated $180.With the parts and R+D it wasn't worth it.So,I went with what was proven. :)
