I used most of the long weekend fine tuning my PCIIIusb map with the WEGO wideband data logger.

I was not sure about a usb/serial plug for the WEGO so I used my sons PC it has the serial port(no port on laptop) so I loaded the data loged on the WEGO into the PC. And just made map changes with the laptop.

I made a sharpe mark on my grip and some ticks on the hand control at 0,25,50,75,100% to be able to keep the throttle % the same on each run.

Richard the turbo builder says 11.5-12 AFR is what to shoot for.

My ECM has been flashed for SE Slipons so RCCs base map ran rich mostly.

After some work I was finding the right cells in the map to make adjustments using the data. Then starting with the low RPMs with light throttle and worked my way up the revs.

Here are some pics of my LAB and some views of graphs showing AFR in RED and RPMs in GREEN I can also change a trace to show throttle%

The AFR spikes are when it shifts or I let out the gas.

One is a good WOT run with auto shift set at 8,500 It gets rich in first gear in the 6,000 range may be due to TIRE SPIN but up in 2,3,4 she is RIGHT

also you can see the nice flat AFR line riding stedy 4,000 rpms.

Its slow going and all new to me but working on my bike is just all I do or want to do! And now maping too I must have made 50 or more runs monday just working on small areas of the map till I was happy then going to the next.

I could just spend hours and hours and I will just tuning it extra fine. I do run it hard and think I can get a nice SAFE tune. I would hope to get at least a year or two out of this stock motor. But if I break it dang drop the mill and send it to Paul D.

You may want to rethink that 12:1 AFR in the cruise @ 4000 area. You'll be able to watch the fuel gauge drop dumping that much fuel in.

Check out the following AFR settings I'm using. Notice that under any signifcant load it drops into the 12's but in the light throttle, mid RPM range it's up around 14:1 and it loves it. The cylinder head pressure at light throttle is so low that all that fuel won't burn and not only will you get shitty fuel economy you may be washing down your rings. Something to think about.

BTW, the numbers under load look GREAT!

I think you will find your first gear rich area is caused by the accellorator pump attributes in the ecm or the accelleration enrichment as they call call it. Adds fuel when you open the throttle and if you open it big and fast it adds a lot of fuel. It will also do it in the other gears. Mark is right on your cruise AFR, you can lean it out substantially when not under heavy load.

I also think if I had reved it up a few times and got the boost up some I think it would add more air in that spot.

and Ill take some fuel out in the cruzin areas thanks guys :ride:
