Now that the Destroyer has a 58 mm TB has anyone considered using the rubber boots made for that instead of "dremeling out" the stock ones??

They're gonna have to.People are gonna need replacement parts, after they blow 'em up.

Sorry,I worded it wrong above.I'm not saying the motors or parts are gonna broke or blow up.It's just the nature of racing "things will brake".

Vinny: I think you are right when you say that they (VRXSE parts) may eventually become available ... Whether they are made available to non VRXSE owners is what remains to be seen! :popcorn

Don't get me wrong as I would luv ta get hold of one of those destroyer engines.

I called Chicago HD today trying to buy the TB but no luck. They said it might be a restricted item. You have to own a Destroyer to buy parts for it. Like buying a 100th aniversery emblem.

But if you know somebody who has one, maybe a couple beers later you can persuade them to get them for ya..

I spoke with a Factory guy on Friday. Here is the story.
The 58mm Throttle Bodies are being done by S&S. Kansas City is sending S&S 53mm TB's and S&S is doing the upgrade. They have not released any part numbers, but if you want the Destroyer's set-up, now you know.

that since there is not warranty that the parts are going to be available for the public to buy. The quest is when.

Who do you know at S&S? I am 100% sure S&S is not making or boring Vrod throttle bodies. Unless you are speaking of another S&S, not the engine builder. :biker:

I spoke to the guys at the plant.... all they are doing is freezing the stock boots and then boring them out to 58mm. I think they received that idea from someone on the forum. There you have it!

Sorry, but I am not. S&S is who the factory Tech said they had the TB's being done by. S&S does build engines, but they also design, build, and improve carbs and FI Systems. :eatme:

Here is the part book for the Destroyer Part Book/Service manual. I don't know if you can order it yet, but here is the # 99452-06. So, if you want to start getting the parts for the Destroyer and making mods this would be the place to start.
