My front brake hose has worn paint off front fender, worth checking position of hoses on regular basis.

That shouldn't happen.Has the front been apart for any reason?Did you lower the front end?I noticed when I got the bike back from the dealer(old)that the steel lines from the Tee,were bent inward,but not enough to rub the fender.Ever since then I look at the lines more.

this happened right after first service, the bike has only 1000 miles on clock. nothing has been done at all, totlaly standard.

Glad you brought this up, it should be worth everyones time to check this. While wearing through the finish is bad you would really hate to see a brake line rubbed through.

One of my cables rubs the handlebar lock. I bought some HD touch-up paint (V-Rod Silver - don't have the part number on hand) and it fixed her right up. It was about $7 bucks.
