Just over 1800 miles on the bike now in the last four weeks. Two days ago going around a right turn I scaped my boot on the road. Yesterday I scraped the left peg doing about 70 mph. I feel like a kid again.
I read a lot of reviews on the Street Rod before I bought it. A local chic rider, who rides in the same mountains I do. Said she liked how you didn't have to shift gears much and she preffered to brake with engine rpm rather than the brakes.
I agree with her. For mountain riding (twistys) the R is just a lot of fun to ride.
Going in for my first service later today. I already changed the oil and re- tourqued fasteners and fixed the front end clunk. So I don't think I'll have them do that, but I can't wait to see them when they see the thing runs great with the fuel injector wires backwards. (The way they gave it to me :bs: ) I also have an oil leak at the front of the front cam cover for them to look at. And a few other little parts that fell off or were never there. I know in one case the keeper ring on the pivot for the front brake could not have fallen off if it was ever put on correctly.
I also am just going to ride over there and wait while they do the work. I don't know how thats going to go. They probably think I'm gunna drop off the bike and go home and sit by the phone. NOT. I have a plan, I'm gunna keep test driving bikes till mine is ready :rofl2:
