I think a lot depends on which 200 you get, I have so far only seen one on a V-Rod and it looked taller and surprisingly narower than the stock 180, they guy who owned the bike sadi it totally messed up the handling..
In discussions on the forum about it others have commented that you need to make sure and get the right one with the best profile..

The 200 metz looks nice and has not changed the handling at all. But i am using shorter shocks that makes the SuperTrapp bracket bottom out so adjustments ahead. Posting photos on Gallery .

Sorry forgot to say i did not have to cut or shave anything. To fit the Metz 200 tyre. THe guy at the tyre shop had to let all the air out the tyre to get it past the rear brake caliper and then refill it.

I plan on running the Avon Venom R 200 for my next tire. I ran it on my '04 vrod and loved it. It fit the vrod without any mods, so I figured it would have plenty of room on the R

chopper-vrod1, looks cool..

What is the profile of the metz 200??
I had a look at their site and couldn't find a 200 18".. Looked on the Avon site and could only see a 200/55-18 which would give a higher profile.. I would have thought a 200/50-18 would be a better profile, and almost the same rolling distance as stock meaning the speedo and odo would still be about right..

Thanks Wipeout . The profile is 200/50/18 its a ME088 . Cannot believe my luck the Bloke that will change the angle of the SuperTrapp needs a 180/ 18 tyre we are going to do a swap its not going to cost a pence.

I wonder why that profile was not listed on the Metz web site.. Maybe I just missed it..
I did say I would not go to a 200 because the only one I have seen looked crap (he has the wrong profile) but the more I am seeing of it done properly the more appealing it is..
You will have to post another pic once the exhaust is done..
