Chopper-V-rod - can you post some pics of your bike w/ the SuperTrapp system? Does it fit easily w/o major mods?

I think Kaz also had the 26T sprocket - that would give you a few extra horses at the wheel that you wouldn't see at the crank.

Thanks

Comparing dyno numbers from 2 different dynos on 2 different continents is an exercise in futility. I can't even get 2 dynos in the same town to read the same numbers.....

Chopper, what brand dyno? (it makes a HUGE difference)

Considering that Harley opened up the pipes and retuned the ECM for the R your aren't likely to see any significant improvement in performance with and aftermarket pipe and PCIII. I'd like to see pictures of a Supertrapp on an R, it has to be a custom fit because they don't make one for specifically for the R yet.

They are pictures of the bike on the gallery. ITs black its called the sharkrod headlight has been raised to handlebar level but guarding original headlight. As for the SuperTrapp its the one for the vrod a bit of hassle to fit the guard does not clear the the rear brake you have to file the holes of the brackets to get better clearance. I personally find the exhaust is a bit low, so i am going to get the rear end swept upwards a bit.

MJW930 in France bikes are resticted to 100bhp so when we start changing bits we see big diffrences straight away.

Why are they restricted to 100hp?

And is it legal to change it to be over 100hp?

That's the best looking R I've seen. Do you have any more pics. Maybe from the front/pipe side?

Legal now that word throws a spanner into the works... not sure, I think as long as you tell the insurance co...The French believe the more power more chances of accidents hence the 100bhp restriction. I don't have mates here with Jap bikes so not sure if it is the norm to de-restrict them. This might also be a factor in beating jap bikes off the line. Spoke to the dyno guys about this, 95% of their work is jap but they reckon the Vrod engine has what it takes easily to win.

Must be really irritating to collect your new R1 that is supposed to have about 180hp and its only got 100hp.. :(

I guess there is no need for more than a 600 over there then.. :)

Got me. I glanced at one pic after reading a post referring to an R with supertraps. No wonder it looked so good.
