Well just hit the 500 mile mark this weekend. All I can say is wow! I been taking it easy trying to break it in correctly. As soon as I hit 500 I laid into it and it was awesome. I've had all kinds of sport bikes and the Rod is totally different. It seems to pull and pull.

All I can say to you guys that are taking it easy on her until 500, you'll have a surprise worth waiting for.

Bro i have been taking it easy on mine for the last 900 miles she has only hit 90 once . im very very easy on break in thats just me . I can not wait to lay into her ,

.....now you can understand why many members have touted the V-Rod as the most exciting bike they've ever owned/ridden....

It keeps getting better ! Almost 20.000 miles and still smiling when I ride. :biker:

Yup, that first time you feel it come to life is awesome.. And the sound even from the stock pipes is cool..

Who said anything about stock pipes. I've already modded mine.

Ditto, breakin's a drag- so at 131 miles it's out gettin' bored. I'm not doing this break in thing twice.
