Picked up my VRSCR Saturday afternoon at Chicago Harley. MAN!!! I couldn't stop giggling to myself the whole way home (only 3 miles). This bike is SWEET!!!
Took my wife around the block a few times, she's waiting for her sissy bar & touring pillion for longer rides, but she was impressed with the sound of the the exhaust, the smoothness of the ride and the Black Cherry Paint.
Overall, I'm thrilled. This bike is lightyears ahead of my 2004 Sportster in every way. Did about 50 miles yesterday, but Mother's Day plans had precedence.
I'd agree with everyone's assessments - it's a b!tch to get going in/out of the the garage & I even have a 36" inseam. My wife and I rent one side of a two car garage, I put my bike in front of her MINI cooper, used to work fine with my Sportster because I could back it in and turn it 90 deg. Not so with the S-Rod. I'm going to have to figure something out. Right now I have it at an ackward angle & she's too close to it. Didn't help that the guy who rents the other side was in there - otherwise, I could just put it in. But then, I wouldn't be able to get it out if he were there.
Does anyone remember seeing those chocks on casters that you can ride onto and then push your bike into your parking spot? Maybe I should find one of those...
Anyways, glad to be an official member of the club now!
