That would be a "2006" model, not a 2005 VRSCR. Correct! I have a black VRSCR. Regards.

sat on a customer's VRSCR...I havent driven the bike yetCongratulations. Wait until you ride it. When I sat on one in the winter, I wasn't very moved. When I rode the same bike once the snow melted, I immediately told my dealer I would take the next bike he had coming in. You will love your bike.

After too much waiting, finally took delivery of my bike. I just came home from the 10 mile trip from the dealer. The bike feels completely diferent from the VRSCA, it will take some time to adjust to the different handling, the riding position and to the fact that the bike feels a lot heavier.

Engine feels great and brakes are awesome. I noticed the front end klunk :soapbox: but the bike feels really good. I will go out and ride some more!

Make sure they double check the trees and head bearings. All of the R's that we have had come in have not been torqued properly. Other than that, no problems so far!

Take off the airbox cover top and bottom and make sure the grounding wire post mounted on backside of front cylinder is aligned correctly, if its not you will find yourself on the side of the road..See post in VRSCR section, "Wipout..thanks man"..

Other than that..Enjoy..its a fun ride..

Went the the dealer and told them this. They checked and that was exactly the problem! Front end klunk is gone. I also told them about the heat shields bolts. Couple were already loose!!

They asked me how I knew so much already about the bike. I directed them to this great forum. Thanks everybody!

Glad to hear you got rid of the clunk. My dealer says they see this occasionally too. :biker:
