So I'm getting my R Saturday - I call Harley Insurance - since they handled my last bike.
Speak with a woman there who had NO idea what was going on - and although I've gotten quotes before on this bike - I had to finalize with the VIN - Not only did I get the "2006 Bikes don't come out until September" nonsense. She asked what the engine size was, I said, "69" - "What's that in CC's?" "Umm, 1130, I think".
She says, "Oh it has it here, it's 1250".
Me: "No, it's 1130, just like the VRSCA & B"
Her: "No, we do lots of research and this is what's right"
Me: "No, the CVO V-Rod is 1250 - it has the big bore kit"
Her: "This is what it says in the NADA book, it has to be right".
Me: "It's not"
Her: "Well, what do you want me to do?"
Me: "Put in the Engine size that's right - just like the VRSCA"
Her: "That's 1132"
ME: "Fine - whatever" (Exasperated at this point)
Her: "Well, if I put in the 1132, then that counts as an engine modification, and you'll pay a higher rate".
Me: "Well, it's wrong. If I put the big-bore kit on there, it would be right - but it doesn't. It's stock."
Her: "I don't know what to tell you".
Me: "You're giving me a rate that's too high. It's not right - but go ahead I don't know what else you can do. I'll have to call Harley Customer Service tomorrow."
Her: "Well, I know I'm right."
Me: "How can you know you're right - you didn't even know this bike existed until I called you - your bosses aren't doing a very good job."
Fin
so anyways - we all need to call H/D Customer Service and complain about this - all of our insurance is 120 cc's too high. OR - we all deserve Big Bore kits.
What do you all think?
