I haven't had a chance to sit on a r yet but I was wandering if the position is better for someone of taller stature? My hometown dealer doesn't have any and the closet dealer to me that does is 2 1/2 hours away, quite a drive. I'm 6'7 and feel a little cramped on a stock a...think the r would help or hurt?

Im 6'4 and cramped ont he street rod, main reason why i didnt get one. Plus there is very little adjustment in the foot controls.

Gah this is killing me! I'm dying to spend my money on a v-rod and was hoping that the vrscr was the answer to my problem...sometimes I hate being so tall!

Get an A or B and put the extended controls on it and a different seat. That should make ya comfortable. There are also some after market forward controls starting to come out, so that may be an option also. :2cents:

I'm 6.0', and feel like I'm plenty big for my R. At your height, I'd expect your legs to feel cramped, you would need a much taller seat to get some space, I wouldn't want to see the pegs moved closer to the pavement, no fun in that. I guess what you need is a motocrosser, I don't think many riders can flat foot those bikes, and besides, they are fun to wheelie. Just can't ride 'em on the road. :jeannie:

Just a thought..

You could get the R, install the optional crash bars and put highway pegs on the bars wherever you want. At least you could change you foot position. Perhaps this will not adversely affect the ground clearance on the R.

You mean like the engine guard bars? My terminology is lacking heh

Has anyone tried Harley's new "Tall Boy" seat? Harley claims an additional 1.5 inches of leg room. Part number 52927-05 at a list price of $289.00. I presently have a Harley Sundowner seat and I am cramped.

Have you ever tried a Ducati Multistrada? Of all the sporting V-Twins, it has the most room.

Yes. I believe they are called engine guard bars. I have always called them crash bars-I guess I'm showing my age.

The Tall Boy only fits V-Rods. It can't be used on the Street-Rod.
