I expect to pick up my new R this evening, and am looking for advice for the service manuals. HD lists two manuals when you search for the 06 VRSCR, a service manual and electrical diagnostic manual. But the description says 05 VRSC. Anyone looked at these? I am wondering if I should wait for manuals that say 06 VRSCR. I would suspect there would be enough differences between a 05 A & B, and the 06 R, that would justify having the specific manual for the bike. One of my first modifications will be to find a switched power source for a GPS. And I plan to self install the factory siren and alarm paging. I plan to do minor servicing as needed, and major servicing, I want to better understand the specifics.

You don't have to wait. The '06 VRSCR Service Manual is available now. It is 99501-06. The electrial manual is 99499-06. The parts manual can also be extremely helpful for the exploded diagrams. It is 99457-06.
