: Reflective Helmet Decals
DrHeathenScum 01-07-2004, 12:04 AM Don't know if anyone knows about these, but I've had them on my lid for about a year now... I just stumbled upon their site again and figured I pass it along.
I have the black decals on a black helmet... very stealth looking under normal conditions, but they reflect a nice bright gold when lights hit them (coming from where you're looking from, of course, like any reflector)
The decals I purchased from them were very high quality, cut from 3M Scotch-Lite reflective sheet vinyl.

Harleyvrodguy 01-07-2004, 01:15 AM Joe, are those the black ones in the pic you posted? Eric
DrHeathenScum 01-07-2004, 01:38 AM yes, with the flash on.

ErVikingo 01-07-2004, 11:57 AM I have them on my and wife's helmets. We picked up the flame styles. Look great and add safety but what a paint to install......

Harleyvrodguy 01-08-2004, 07:29 PM Joe, Thanks for the link. I ordered 2 different width black reflective pin striping tape. I think it will look sweet on the frame. we shall see. The stuff is cheap enough that if I don't like it, I'll take it off.................Eric

I got the skull flames off of e-bay from these folks.
Michael333 01-08-2004, 10:16 PM Very cool Crash.... to bad they don't have wings, eh. I'd be interested to see/hear how they go on.

esquire7oz 01-09-2004, 12:13 AM The amature way to put on vinyl decals is to wet the back of the decal, the sticky part, and wet the helmet. That way you can get them into position easier, then squeegy the water and any bubbles out.
DrHeathenScum 01-09-2004, 01:25 AM squeegy... I like that word :D
Crash 01-09-2004, 06:13 PM I'm working with one of the companies to get custom reflective shapes made. I wanted an F-16 for the back of my helmet...maybe they can do the V-Rod logo?? I'll let you know what I find out.
ozzycustoms 01-09-2004, 08:06 PM Hi everyone, we can cut any graphic on regular or reflective vinyl. Let me know if there is some custom V-ROD logo's people have in mind and I can cut some.
Ozzy
VrodG 01-09-2004, 08:55 PM How about a decal that will fit on the back of our helmets .......Vrodforum........
Crash 01-09-2004, 09:30 PM Ozzy - can you do small quantities, or is the set-up time consuming. i.e. how does it work? Can it cut a decal from a picture from a bitmap, etc? This is what I'm looking for...about 3 inches high on black reflective tape.
vrodjohn 01-10-2004, 08:28 AM I would like a smaller set of forum decals for my helmet. I'll even pay for them:D
esquire7oz 01-10-2004, 06:42 PM i'd put a v-rodforum decal on my helet too. maybe somewhere on the frame even.
ozzycustoms 01-10-2004, 06:50 PM I will get with Max on the v-rodforum reflective decals, everything related to the site should go through him.
Crash, no problem with the decal you are wanting, just email me the best image you have of this and we can get several cut for you.
DrHeathenScum 01-11-2004, 01:13 AM so... if I wanted some Heavycycles decals, that would be possible too? :D
btw, where do you find time?? ;)
Crash 01-12-2004, 11:23 PM I got my black reflective decals from purpleharley.com today. They look great and were a piece of cake to put on. They are cutting black reflective F-16 shapes for me also and shipping them out tomorrow. $20 for an 8 x 14 sheet with about 17 decals on it. Ozzy said he cut also cut custom shapes, but I had already asked this guy, Al, and he seems to have a good business and is a Vietnam Vet...I'll have to support Ozzy with other business later!:diablo:
I placed an order today for reflective decals for the v-rodforums.com logo with ozzy. They will be in black from what I understand. Sean said that I could look for them sometime next week.

Harleyvrodguy 01-12-2004, 11:51 PM Count me in to acquire a few please Max!!

Crash 01-20-2004, 03:37 PM I got my F-16 decals from Al at www.purpleharley.com They turned out great, and he made them in one day and shipped them the next...pretty awesome service!
DrHeathenScum 01-20-2004, 03:48 PM very cool!
Crash 01-21-2004, 01:40 AM New decals (with flash):
fehrc 01-21-2004, 02:46 AM This reflective decal thing is pretty cool! I might have to look into getting a couple done for myself.
Max, keep us posted on the v-rodforum decals, I'll buy one for sure.
Crash, what did you mount the decals to in your last pic. It's hard to tell. And does the bar and shield show in normal light since it has other colors in it?
VrodG 01-21-2004, 09:29 AM Max.......Please put me on the list for the v-rodforum decals.
Thanks Greg
Motown_VROD 01-21-2004, 09:47 AM Ozzy's VROD ones look great. I'm planning to order a couple of sets.
BRY65 01-21-2004, 09:59 AM I ordered one of Ozzy's VROD logos as well. I think it will look good on my black full face.
-Bry
Crash 01-21-2004, 10:10 AM fhrc - It's on my helmet...the same one that has the skull/flames on the sides. You can see the "DOT" label below the HD sticker. The HD sticker is a dealer sticker that I cut to remove their name (it is a normal sticker..not reflective).
Just got these in today, thanks Sean.
Cali-V 01-23-2004, 11:25 PM Max:
Can I make a donation or something?
V-Fred 01-23-2004, 11:26 PM Where's the dot???
V-Fred we didn't get a dot on these, I'm sure the dot would have been so small that it might have given problems on the mask.
Cali-V I did get a limited number and plan to try to get these and regular swing arm stickers out this weekend to members that have helped to support the forum. I will have a better idea if I have any left around sunday afternoon.
Max
DrHeathenScum 01-24-2004, 02:42 AM Where's the dot???

vrodjohn 01-24-2004, 08:38 AM Max, are those reflective ?? all my helmets are black except my FF.
Yes John they are reflective but on a white helmet they don't show up correct. I'll put one on Jeannies helmet and take a pic.
