Do you think the windvest v-rod shield will fit the R?

Check out the link in the press info section to the Roadcarver review of the R. They had a bike fitted with that windshield and the feedback wasn't so good. Read it for yourself...

Yeah, I saw that too. I planning a 1000 mile trip in may, so I've been considering a screen. Maybe I'll save my money for something else like the sundowner seat.

Buy the HD windshield it is much nicer. It fallows the lines or angle of the front forks.

hec4sec,
Save your money for something else..
I think that with a screen the ride will probably be less comfortable because the wind will still hit you in the head and it won't be lifting your body weight off your arms as you are riding..

I would actually like to make a side by side comparison but in theory I think its better without a screen..

I am talking from experince not theory. The windshield acts like a fairing. Setting upright there hardly any weight on your hands.

I took my Windvest off my '04 "B" and mocked it up against the "R" I am getting. Looks like it will fit. the spacing for the headlight bracket matches up. If you can wait a month, I will have mine done with the big bore and try the windvest out on the bike. I loved the Windvest on the "B" and only hope it will work as well on the "R".

Did you ever mount the windvest to your R. Another option I've been thinking about is the memphis shades handlebar mount shield. I really like the look of the windvest though.
