Well to help get more people from the vrscr group here I purchased the domain http://www.vrscr.com while it was open. Maybe we can get some people to fill this area so that those of with the A's can make fun of our own redheaded step children.

Not at all Mitch, this area is here at the request of an R owner so they wouldn't have to sort through all the A information to get to things they wanted.

Don't worry Mitch, They tell you 6 weeks to be safe..

When I got the Softail last year they told me the same thing and in about three weeks they phoned me and told me my bike had arrived and when did I want to collect it.. Same story for the "R" this year, it arrived in half the time they told me..

When it hits the depot in Europe its only a few days before its gets to the dealer.. They will the put it through PDI, register and tax it and then you are off.. Get your insurance and any other paperwork sorted out ASAP, there is nothing worse than waiting three days for your insurance to come through while you new bike sits in the showroom.. :)

Kaz,
How does the foot control placement on the R compare to an A with Kosman midcontrols? Are they in the same place, farther forward or farther back? Thanks.

They are a Little More Forward with the R pegs but it's preety Nuetral! :thumb: The Kosman Setup was The Single Best HANDLING IMPROVEMENT I made on my A's! :kaz:

Had my R delivered today (38 degrees F.) Nevertheless had to take her for a ride. Liked what l saw. She handles and stops good. Tried to baby it but grabbed a handful once in first. Got all the accessories so the bags are slick but small. Windscreen is pretty clean with a slick mount. Engine guard is pretty unobtrusive. Mounting hi-way pegs will be a challenge. Passenger pillion and backrest look pretty good. Seating position is surprisingly similar to my Beemer. can't wait to get an all day ride in. Probably have to VMOD the pipes as they seem a bit quiet at this point. All around nice bike with excellent handling and stopping power. No top heavy feel for me. :vrod:
