It’s time to start my education on the BB issue and looking for some facts and advise. From what I have seen there are three BB sizes out there on the market. 1250 , 1350 and 1550. I would guess the 1250 is the safest since Harley is on the band wagon with it.
I would also guess the 1550 is the extreme end and thus more likely to encounter problems.
There are several kits out on the market with pricing that sounds reasonable. But and a big but, they all seem to be lacking all of the required parts for a transition from stock. It’s these hidden cost I’m concerned with.
Looking to find out what it cost in total not just the parts to re-bore. Can someone provide a true cost for converting a stock engine? Who does a BB out there and provides a guarantee on their workmanship? Which BB is streetable.

Eagle HD (Paul Diener) did mine 3 years ago and it still runs very strong. Talk to Paul and do what he recomends for the type of riding you will be doing.

How many miles do you have on it?

IF you are coming to Daytona, Paul will be there possibly at the Breathless Performance booth at the Daytona track OR at Gainesville 3/4-6.
He did the Breathless bikes too. I would suggest that you decide what type of riding you want to do with the new motor and then let Paul help you decide what should be done. Your wallet will be thinner in any case.
