Heres the Eddie....'Eddie would go...."The Eddie Aikau is a commemorative surf event dedicated to one Waimea Bay lifeguard who died in the boating mishap of the Hoku'lea. The boat flipped many miles out to sea, as they crew was on their way to Tahi'ti and other island nations when this happened.

Was 10 PM on the first night out, and Eddie volunteered to swim with his surf board to get help. He was never seen again.

Eddie was one of the only lifeguards to pull off amazing rescues from th ebig waves, surfers, swimmers and non-swimmers alike are still alive cause of Eddie.

So "If Eddie would go....?"
