Extreme walking. Don't try this with your schnauzer.

Actually, he's human, just one of those mutants. I'm not sure which side he's on yet, tho. I believe they call him Bouncer.

Pretty cool and impressive. But I watched the olympics and saw a dozen 16 year old girls that could do better. (easy for me to say, sitting on my couch) The video was nicely edited. Great camera angles and the use of the Emenem sound track certainly added a feeling.

Although, the drops and distances weren't all that different than what I used to do (20 years ago) on skiis. Now I use tools to fly (hang glider, paraglider, V-rod).

There is a huge difference in dropping down that far into powder instead of cement, no? Don't ask me... I'd just end up sinking through the powder in hitting the ground anyway!

Regardless of all the naysayers... those guys are talented... People think that professional wrestlers aren't all that because the matches are entertainment based... but to do that day in and day out takes a toll on the body. Those jumps and sheer body control didn't "just happen." Years of training to do that. Rant off.

Folks,

It's called "Parkour", and they have a website dedicated to art. Check it out. Several vids, lots of pics, and info on what it's about.

A friend of mine that lives in the UK knows the guy that was doing the roof jumps. He's actually a pretty acomplished martial arts guy and I'm pretty sure the roof jumping footage was used in a commercial that was aired on tv over there. It's definately not trick photography, but sometimes the angles make it look a bit more extreme.

That's pretty awesome. I can't believe he can make those jumps without breaking legs, ankles, or dislocating knees and such. Impressive.
