When are you going to put together an extensive LED engine and wheel lighting kit made specifically for the V-Rod? The whole trial-by-error deal is not only too expensive to consider, it is somewhat intimidating.

You might even consider making it into two or three modules so that we can start out basic and add to it.

A simple kit with detailed instructions, a good warranty, and a 16+ hour customer service hotline sells!

Not sure if we are going to get a V-Rod specific kit, started right away but it might be something we can discuss once the new year arrives. As for the warranty and 16 hour phone line, We have a life time warranty against LED failure and if we don't answer the phones after we close then email us and someone usually will get back to you in a timely fashion. Even on the weekends.

Thanks,
Matt

Ok .... here ya go. Earlier this year I installed Custom Dynamics HyperStrips on my V-Rod. I went with clear (white) LED's. Clear LED's allows me to ride with the LED's on. In Maryland (as I'm sure in other states), riding with Red or Blue LED's is illegal. I didn't want to go through all of that effort and not be able to use them while riding .... hense, the Clear LED's.

I've attached a PDF showing exactly where to place the LED's and a parts breakdown as well.

I've seen other manufacturer's LED's on bikes but, Custom Dynamics are a step above EVERYONE else, IMHO. Yes, it's a pain in the a$$ to install these on a V-Rod but, the end product is WELL worth the effort.

For this installation, it took me about 6 hours (I was figuring it out as I went). You'll need to remove airbox cover, airbox, drivers seat and passenger pillon (trust me). I ran all wires up to the front of the bike and terminated everything behind the right side cowl cover.

If it ever stops raining here, I'll get my bike out one night and take some pictures and post them up so you can see it with the lights on.

If you're considering LED's for your V, Custom Dynamics is the way to go (No, I don't work for them).
