Do you guys happen to know where can I get some Buell wheels/brakes at a reasonable price??
ALSO, I thought the rules prevented you from stretching the swing arm in the AHDRA V-Rod class.

Rules say stock wheelbase. If you bring in the front wheel 2" you can run a 2" over arm and still be stock wheelbase. I'm getting ready to open a new web site just for our racing parts and info should only be a few more days. We will have new and used Buell XB wheels and install kits on it.
VrodG 12-09-2004, 12:54 AM Paul post us up a link when it's ready.

That's great, can't wait to see more v-rod racing stuff available on the 'net. :D

I like the concept. I could be wrong but I think in the VR class the fork tube angle and the rake angle must be stock.

YES YOU ARE CORRECT ABOUT THE V-ROD CLASS, THE TWO AHDRA EVENTS
THAT WE WILL BE RACING AT WILL BE IN THE ET. CLASS (NOS. ON BOTH.)
WE COMPETE DIVISIONALLY IN NHRA KERKER MOTORCYCLE CLASS.

Check out the Super Gas class (9.70 Index). NOS and frame mods are legal there; you could probably really kick a$$.
Rick Nielson 12-09-2004, 01:47 PM Check out the Super Gas class (9.70 Index). NOS and frame mods are legal there; you could probably really kick a$$.
THE PROBLEM IS WE GO 9.60'S AT OUR ALT. ADD NOS AND SEA LEVEL AND
8.90'S SHOULLD BE ATTAINABLE. NOT SURE WITH MY BIKE WITH ME ON IT WOULD GO 9.70'S BUT WE'LL SEE AS I'AM STROKING MINE ALSO. I'AM SURE OF 9.80'S BUT WHEN YOUR RACING AGAINST AN INDEX YOU'D BETTER BE ABLE TO RUN A LITTLE QUICKER THAN THE INDEX TO WIN.
Paul Diener 12-09-2004, 10:39 PM I like the concept. I could be wrong but I think in the VR class the fork tube angle and the rake angle must be stock.
The rules read "Frame neck angle" not fork tube angle. Also just lowering bike brings front axle back at the same angle of forks.
Dyno Dave 12-09-2004, 11:15 PM Your Right! Only stock frames and rake, must be avalible to general public!
JackInZoar 12-10-2004, 01:50 AM but its all cool in SG
kspz3 12-13-2004, 08:02 PM Rick - you are beginning to scare me....no maybe you already had..... KSP
Kaz - when are you going to actually make a pass.... I am getting old waiting to see what you will do - and I thought that you were setting up for LSR - are you trying to do both? You better get a sponsor or you are going to be taking up a collection for dinner. KSP

I have 3 Turbo V-rods!#1=LSR.#2= Drag Only. #3= Street /Show !Sandy Kosman is Doing the Chassie's on"My Old NOS Bike" as we Speeak and my New Show Bike  !It will be the Quickest Real V-rod in the World to go along with my Fastest in the World Real V-rod! :kaz: Talked to Sam today and he can have my #1 LSR Motor ready in 2 weeks!!!! :notworth: Mean while Richard is Building My New Drag Race system so Time and Money will Tell!!!! :broke:
kspz3 12-14-2004, 12:04 PM Kaz - you definately scare me - I think you are preading way too thin - but that is just conservative old me - I am a one thing at a time kind of guy you know - As SunTzu said - "He who defends everything defends nothing" How was that for sage type reply - :) KSP
And Rick - your starting to sound like you have been reading Kaz's technical manual with this talk about sea level and NOS - NOS adds oxygen - altitude thin air - i.e. oxygen desity - NOS if jetted proporly elliminateds the issue - plus NOS cools intake charge creating greater oxygen density - therefore you may be better off at the higher denisty altitude since thinner air offers less resistance - while you overcame the oxygen density issue through artificial insemination - and cooling - that a page from my tech manual - probably as questionable as KAz's - KSP

WOW,THOUGHT WITH TITANIUM RODS YOU'D OF WENT WITH THE FULL
CIRCLE CRANK.
VrodG 01-03-2005, 03:44 PM Rick is that a 1/4 stroke? and why no knife edge?
Rick Nielson 01-03-2005, 04:06 PM Rick is that a 1/4 stroke? and why no knife edge?
6 MM STROKE AND THE V-ROD CRANK DOES NOT RIDE IN OIL SO NO
REASON FOR A KNIFE EDGE,THE SAME APPLYS TO THE POLISHING BUT
IT WAS PART OF THE SUPER CRANK MOD,I WAS MORE CONCERNED ABOUT
DYNAMIC BALANCING OF THE COMPLETE ASSB.(RODS,PISTONS,BEARINGS.)
Z16monte 01-03-2005, 04:33 PM Ok i'll bite, why use a full circle crank?would'nt the lighter weight of a normally counterweighted crank help the engine rev faster ??
