Sam, when are you planning on arriving at the track?
Is the pit area large enough so you could save me a spot next to you?

WooHoo! Way to go Sam!
I knew you could do it, Lets see a picture of that trophy too.
Sorry I had to leave before you won, they were taking so damn long. :banghead:

Still bugs me that the rear broke loose on me that last run. I should have done a longer burn out to heat the tire more. Now I know what to do when it drops below 50 degrees on the track! :spank:

I had my best 1/8 time in practice: 7.51, 92.2 mph
I'll get you next time :D

Congradulation on the win. Boy I hated to miss out on the fun. We just need to figure out next year where we want to run the points standings at.

Matt, The points at Hertford was 8 races last year from april to sept..
that track is about half way for the VA boys to me in NC. I also like the Truebloods that run the track there and would still have OBX on off pionts weeks and test n tune.

The bike turn out was good but the HD class was small so 1st got $100 and thay gave runner up $40.

But when I went to the tower for my $100 thay also had a $75 check for a 2nd I ran in on Oct 23 that race I left thinking thay would mail it.

One more.... :boobs:

I made the ride down from Chesapeake,, got to the track around 2pm. Took me awhile to warm up. That's an interesting track,, but not the best for the spectator with the tall concrete walls. You have to be near the top of the stands. I did see the V-rod runs,, looked good. Many of the "sport" bikes looked like an accident waiting to happen, multiple wheelies and lot's of hits on the rev limiters. I also tested my mileage range and had to make it all the way back to Edenton to find gas,, it was close, 130 miles on that tank and I put in 3.5 gallons. I couldn't stay around to visit,,, had to get back home before it got dark and cold.

The runs looked real smooth. The people watching were very interested in the V-Rod.

I didn't know you were there, you should have come over & hung with us! Fellow v-rodders are always welcome!
Some of those crotch-rockets were scary  A couple of those guys riding wheelies 1/2 the way down the track with no wheelie bar, some having to back off the throttle to keep from flipping, glad I wasn't next to them :surrender
Did you see that guy loose his bike in the burn-out? Looked like he didn't get the revs up enough & the wheel caught traction and jerked the bike out from under him  That was embarassing! :spit:

I got up into the stands when the outside lane runner broke his chain,,, there was a significant delay. I went down to the lane area after that. I didn't see you guys until you moved up to stage. Like I said, I wish I could have stayed longer,, but I was on a leash for the day. It was a great ride down and back,, really enjoyed the 17 bypass,,,, nice road,, flat long and FAST. The track was around 90 miles from my house.

See you guys next time.
