Just removed my chrome underplate/sissy bar from my 03' to go back to the origional look. Found the rear pillon seats plastic tab was broken off?!

The seat slides into the metal clip on the rear fender, I assume because the chrome underplate adds tension that its caused the plastic to break. Looks like seats' no longer available, and even though I have warranty till March 2010 I don't think they'd replace it even if they had it.

Anyone come across a similar problem and have a fix suggestion? JB Weld?

the warranty is on the bike not parts you put on after.. i have not had that problem however i dont run a base plate.. i would suggest some sort of glue if you have the part to glue back on and if not well it still has the bolt yes? you can attach some velcro strips to the underpart and to your fender and hold it down that way ..

I don't think that you can make a dependable repair to the plastic. I would get an inexpensive passenger pad and use the pan for it to change your Willy G pad over. Its an easy job if you take your time and either staple it back together or use contact glue....lots of cheap passenger seats on eBay under $50.00.....
