Well - last week was the last event at our track for the season - and we had the good fortune to win the event - we swept the final three events. Narrowly escaped another VROD in the semi- won by .0091 - I swear if the race would have been another foot he would have had me real heart stopper - Dan is a great rider and friend that races for Cerini's - another HD dealer in the area. This was a great weekend at Pittsburgh Raceway Park - Harley's everywhere. Ernie Cerini owner of National Road HD in Uniontown had a newly built 120 SE Superglide - ran 10.99 out of the box....... Hello high performance HD setup. Greg Dahl owner of a top of the line engine building operation called GMS had his 9 second FX 140 CI (S&S setup) HD running 9.7 and 9.8 into some severe cross winds all weekend long. Saturday was test and tune - Sunday final event. It was great to be amongst a sizable group of HDs all weekend - both riders there for moral support and racers there for fun. I landed up running a Kaw (remember the 750 2 cycles)drag bike in the finals - he red lit - I ran an 11.48 on a 11.47 dial - I believe it was a .05 light. Smokin Joe from Cerini's also running 11.4x 103 stroker Superglide k=inda setup was also there doing his thing - This was their first year out there and they really put a strong program together - sponsorship, good hardware and strong riders - Hopefully, next year will be an even bigger year for HDs at Pittsburgh and maybe even more VRODs. I took allot of pics - maybe I will post a few later - pictures are on the track website also . http://www.pittsburghracewaypark.com
