Most of us are using the MTC Engineering 5 finger lock-up clutch it uses the stock basket and plates. As you can see it hooks and I have only gone through one set of plates this year.
If you get one or want one let me know I can hook you up and get close on the set up.

Can this set up be used on a street bike

Hi Rick,
Yes you could use it on the street, but you probably only need it if you have extra HP.
A stock motor will run on a stock clutch forever unless you are a heavier person.

That and the Turbo/Supercharger/Nitrous setup that I'll have shortly.

Damn Rick, putting on a Turbo & a Supercharger & Nitrous!!! You might be able to de-throne Kaz as the most powerful v-rod then! :rofl2:

One or the other and I think I'm too large to break any of his records.

Mindblower, thanks for the reply. I think at this time MTC is running a little slow due to hurricane damage. I am really looking for a billett basket. Have had a problem with shering off the rivets that hold the backing plate on. I tried the barnett extra plate clutch. Had to take it out after two races. Think the stack height is off on that set up. Its way too grabby. Not ready for a lockup at this time, just a good clutch and heavy duty basket. Thanks

dave, have you tried barnetts carbon fiber clutch? there part number
HDP-15EPCF. It's worked well for us, have to change the steels every
3 races because I slip the clutch alot on take off.We run the lock-up
on the stroker.

Do you have the HD tools to change the clutch plates?

Rick, thanks for the reply. I only knew about the extra plate kit. I slide my clutch a lot on take off also. With the extra plate kit, as soon as you start moving it seems to grab and take it away from you. Therefore leaving you no control over the launch. Spinning on a bad track or wheelie on a sticky track. Are your steels warping? Or just turning blue? They may be cooling off to quick. I pull my clutch in as soon as I cross the finish line. And do not use the motor to slow the bike down!!!! If you just let off the throttle to help slow the bike. It puts undue stress on the backing plate rivets. Therefore causing them to shear away. The only problem with pulling in the clutch is that it cools the steels too quick. That causing blueing and then warping. But its much cheaper to change the steels than the basket.
