I'm about to replace my stock AW seat with one from a DX. Is the rider seat the identical height or will it sit me lower? I know the seat height is different but not sure if it's shocks or the seat?

rider seats are same.....just different stitching....i was the first to add a AW pillion to my DX since it tapers down nicer IMO..looks better.

So the suspension on the DX must be different seeing as the specs show a different seat height. I went to the DX pillion as I figured it was a better alternative looks wise to the ones in the accessories catalog. Girlfriend sure didn't like the stock AW pillion.

The DX is lower than the AW overall. I put the AW pillion on my DX, MUCH nicer looking. I actually scored an entire AW seat so everything would match nicely, I like the pattern on the AW seat better.

As for the 2009 models..They are NOT the same The AW seat pushes u forawrd a good inch and the leg passage is smoother.
measure from rise of seat to the top of the seat ..The #'s dont lie...

Hey pewter did you already buy a dx seat??

I wanted to switch my dx deat for an Aw so maybe I'l buy yours if you want or do a swap?? let me know Dan any issues swapping the Aw seats on ours?

I'm from mtl canada Pewt..

I sat on a DX after a day of riding and it seemed like a night and day difference. I'm glad to know my mind and butt were not just playing tricks on me. I kinda prefer the D seat vs my A seat. I've considered seeing if someone wanted to trade once it gets cold.
