Hi Guys, i want to install a rack on my bike,

i need to remove the pilion. i never checked on how to do it or what i need to do it.

is there something (tools, advice, tricks) to know before getting on that job?

is it simple ?

for my 08 i remove two fasteners (one is the peg that holds the rider seat down) and the pillion slides forward and out.

if you are getting the H-D fender baseplate it has instructions, that make install a no brainer

ok did the job very simple. since the rack puts the seat a bit higher i had to pry just a bit the metal part that hold the passenger seat.

and i had to change 4 screw because i needed longer screw to fit.
(they were included in the kit) so basically very simple and straight forward job!
i tought it would be harder than that...
