: Last of the old livery
rail240 08-21-2008, 04:19 AM Well this is the last time my bike will have all the current "livery". I have removed all the old stickers bar the old vrodforums.com and BAD ROD Racing. Just couldn't bring myself to do it just yet :notworth:
I will post up new pics next week when the new graphics are done :thumb:
MYCAR47562 08-21-2008, 07:41 AM did you get new sponsors?
rail240 08-21-2008, 09:12 AM No they were on the bike when I bought it from the Bad Rod boys. Getting ready for my first meeting so I am putting my sponsors on it.
rail240 09-16-2008, 05:48 AM Well here is the new look. I tried to make it as professional as I could while I was getting my signage done. The bike has a full vinyl wrap with the sponsors logos printed on it before application so no edges and corners picking up! Looks impressive up close, pics dont really do it justice :D
MYCAR47562 09-16-2008, 07:17 AM nice so are you sponsored by a strip joint?
rail240 09-16-2008, 07:45 AM Yep sure am.
www.playersshowgirls.com.au
and some other great supporters :D
nice so are you sponsored by a strip joint?
MYCAR47562 09-16-2008, 07:51 AM supporters huh? ive heard there called fluffers but lux would know more about it
rail240 09-16-2008, 07:53 AM No fluffers here, some great local companies and a great dealership support.
looks sweeeeeeeet scotty ,,
rail240 09-16-2008, 08:58 AM Thanks Brett :thumb:

Did they help you out with a replacement? And how long until the name tag broke off?
vrodracing90 09-18-2008, 10:47 AM Did they help you out with a replacement? And how long until the name tag broke off?Name broke off after about 3-7 passes. It started breaking after 30-50 passes. They helped me on one not both.
rail240 09-20-2008, 01:31 AM So do you still run an Indy pipe on your Destroyer?
Name broke off after about 3-7 passes. It started breaking after 30-50 passes. They helped me on one not both.

V-Rod I FL 09-22-2008, 01:51 PM Scotty:
I am interested in how your "Players" Racing Team looks.
Are there any "pit" pictures we can see.
Best Wishes
Jerry
vrodracing90 09-22-2008, 02:59 PM So do you still run an Indy pipe on your Destroyer?Yes, I do still have one on my bikes. When I had it welded up and they shot the pipe to find out what stainless it was. Welded it with that. It then shattered after 3 passes and the top fell in.
rail240 09-22-2008, 07:22 PM Will post some up next week Jerry. Just for you! :deal: :angeldev:

rail240 09-22-2008, 07:25 PM After many discussions with V & H regarding Indy pipes. I have been told that the baffle helps keep the megaphone "in shape" and does not rob any HP. I might be running the baffle soon. I want my pipe to last as long as it can! Man you have had a bad run there :deal:
Yes, I do still have one on my bikes. When I had it welded up and they shot the pipe to find out what stainless it was. Welded it with that. It then shattered after 3 passes and the top fell in.
vrodracing90 09-23-2008, 01:07 PM Man you have had a bad run there :deal: What do you mean? Trust me I like V&H and I am not trying to knock them I was just giving you a heads up.
rail240 09-24-2008, 04:56 AM No mate, I know you arent knocking them...
I love the guys there at Vance & Hines, I am a huge fan and they have been a huge help and support to me.
I even personally introduced Andrew to our forum :deal:
Trust me, I like those guys too ok ;)
The information I got was that only a small amount of people are having problems and that it was a vibration issue perhaps. First check I was asked was primary pipe contact with the clutch cover which mine isnt touching and has 10mm or so clearance. Im not sure why it does it but I do want to see a "tougher" tag for our pipes as image is paramount in this business IMHO.
For the megaphone thing to happen twice to you is what I mean by a bad run (bad luck). It is racing though and these are the tests and punishments we give our equiptment and see "what breaks" :D
I do appreciate your input on Destroyers mate as I have not that many runs on the board yet. I have had issues with the name tags breaking off and I have re-fitted 2 now and Im over it. Last one cracked through at the rivet hole after 2 passes. The silicone underneath it didnt really seem to do anything either except leave a little mess..
A new tag is "in design" as we speak and hopefully it will cure the bug.
What map are you running? Is it the V & H U4 tune as a baseline?
Do you run the baffle?
Whats your name :)
What do you mean? Trust me I like V&H and I am not trying to knock them I was just giving you a heads up.
vrodracing90 09-24-2008, 10:05 AM To start off my name is Billy and I am from Lake Charles, La.
As far as map goes. Well, I took the stock map, went to the dyno and wrote it myself. Do you have the Race Pac?
I have also talked to V&H with the issue on my megaphone. They seemed very shocked when I told them about it and emailed them the pictures of it. I guess the strange thing for me about it is that I have 2 Destroyers. I put the pipe on both at the same time. When one started breaking and at the time had a 4 inch break I looked at the other and it was cracked too. Not as bad yet but started. The name plate on both broke off just in a few passes. Now, to be honest I have not seen the HP increase that V&H said with the pipe. My ET'S did not change when I put the pipe on verses the stock destroyer pipe.???? On one of my bikes I have the RACE PAC.
I race mainly in the AMRA series. We are having our National Finals this weekend. I run some outlaw events too. My racing is at all Harley events.
No I do not have a baffle in the pipe.
OH, YES here is a FYI for all that have destroyers. If somewhere in the 50-150 pass range you bike runs great as long as you keep it above 2- 2,500 but will not idle. DO NOT think it is something wrong with the bike right off the bat. Pull your spark plugs and change them first. Trust me.
rail240 10-01-2008, 06:17 AM No Race Pack mate, hoping to get it on the dyno soon so I can be sure of A/F ratios etc. Im using a map that Larry E @ Eagle sent me. The bike likes it best for now and its not playing up. It was having a big flat spot when I gave it full throttle onto the two step with the U4 map. Hope you did well at the finals Billy!
MYCAR47562 10-01-2008, 07:50 AM have you tryed putting an ironman sticker on it? that will fix all of your flat spots and give you perfect a/f while your running those 7 second passes on the 1/4
MYCAR47562 10-01-2008, 07:51 AM accualy yall go by the metric system right? do yall run the same 1320 we run or is yalls in meter's? what is it?
rail240 10-01-2008, 08:22 AM Actually, yes its 1320ft just like YAWL! Actually its just like every actual drag strip period 1320ft.
I dont know what you are on about with your iron man sticker comment either, WTF dude. Im trying to have intelligent conversation about what I am doing and putting it up in the eye of the public on our forum and asking for opinions, thoughts, likes and dislikes. Im trying to represent V-ROD's and our forum, not take the piss out of anyone. If I got it wrong then sorry but I dont think so.

MYCAR47562 10-01-2008, 08:25 AM na bro not making fun of you i was saying put him on there cause you already have the kool skins lay out so iron man would help cause he is the sheiot (the iron man post was like the rocka posts with out being in 3rd person) and if you remeber i told you i liked your bike i believe i also mentioned something about you going to the strip club to much oh and your comment about not take the piss out of anyone. do you mean you dont want to make anyone mad? or you dont want anyone making fun out of you? this is an honest question i dont understand what you mean
oh and for some reason everyone takes my humor wrong maybe its me?
rail240 10-01-2008, 08:29 AM No worries dude, like I said if I got it wrong Im sorry. I am not familiar with this Iron Man character so no worries. And most definately Strippers are fine by me. Its my 41st Birthday today and im off to the club in a minute. Its tough having race sponsors who also happen to be strippers within 400mtrs of your house :D
MYCAR47562 10-01-2008, 09:30 AM http://www.moviephotoforums.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=2264&ppuser=43 the picture
he is like superman except he is made of metal fly's with rockets not himself no laser vision of super lungs or xray scan vision so basically he is strong and fly's and is just a normal man
vrodracing90 10-01-2008, 03:09 PM Its my 41st Birthday today.:D

vrodracing90 10-02-2008, 04:01 PM Thanks it was a GREAT year that I had. This picture was taken at the 2008 Harley Shootout in Union Grove, Wi after I won all 4 classes that I entered. It was a national event. It really is the only picture that I have with all 3 bikes.

:them::them::them:
rail240 10-11-2008, 08:42 PM Thanks mate, I am glad you enjoy the threads.
I have been a little busy last few weeks as I have the Nikon Indy 300 coming up on the 23-26th Oct (www.indy.com.au) and my house is on the track. We are having a PLAYERS SHOWGIRLS site here with my dragster, girls, merchandise, maybe a pole or two ;) and the bike will be on display at the club which is about 500m down the road. Sorry I havent had much time to post up or acquire the other pics from the photographers, I have been busy as! Here are a few more I found and when I get the next lot I will post them up too.
Also Jerry, Pat, Billy, Paul and Phillip you guys have an open invitation anytime, you know that :D It comes with the territory :thumb:

rail240 10-21-2008, 12:45 PM So, what is the latest? How have you ran?
On a break at the moment Billy. I passed on the last national meeting as it was 1000k's away and time was runing out as I have a big deal at the Nikon Gold Coast Indy 300. My sponsor (Players Showgirls) has the bike in the club and the dragster is on display at the track so its been a big push last few weeks to be all ready.. It starts on 23 Oct - 26th Oct.
Next national meeting is Dec 26-27 back at Sydney WSID. Not really looking to do much testing in the meantime, maybe 1 test and tune. Will keep you posted and thanks for the interest mate ;)
Take it easy :thumb:
Rick Osters 10-21-2008, 04:38 PM LOOKIN GOOD:thumb:
vrodracing90 10-24-2008, 09:49 AM Did you get any spare tires, plugs, shift minder and have you checked your rear sprocket?
rail240 10-28-2008, 11:36 AM Did you get any spare tires, plugs, shift minder and have you checked your rear sprocket?
Yep I got a sponsorship for Mickey Thompson tires, got new genuine plugs which were champion, shift minder??? and yes rear sprocket is good. Whats the shift minder about..
rail240 10-28-2008, 11:38 AM LOOKIN GOOD:thumb:
Thanks Rick ;)
vrodracing90 11-06-2008, 09:25 AM Ok. Under your seat there is what is called the shift minder. It is a little black box that you can set the delay on your engine kill when you shift the bike. You can only get it threw Pingel. Make sure that you tell them that is for a Destroyer. It will come ready to plug in and with the right connectors. I have had one of these go out and luckly I had a spare.
Well, I fly out tomorrow to pick up my championship awards this weekend. It should be a good banquet.
Have a good one and let me know it you need anything else.

rail240 11-06-2008, 04:29 PM Thanks Billy,
Now I know what you are on about :D
The ignition kill module I call it.
Do you recommend I have a spare one? Do they fail often?
Anyway, enjoy your awards night mate, you sure have deserved it! I hope to be doing the same thing one day in the future champ!! :notworth::notworth::notworth:
Also for all you guys wanting to see more pics, here are some from Nikon Indy 300 on the Gold Coast. The bike ones have to be edited as they were for marketing use (eg: stubby coolers, printed media etc..) Not sure if I will use any of the dragster as I have a few of it already.
Take it easy everyone! ;)

I met that chick :P
I helped you stick those stickers on ya drag car :P
How did ya weekend wind up Scotty?
Bike, Car and Gals all looking good mate :D
rail240 11-10-2008, 08:13 AM Sure is a cutie hey Stomper ;)
Dont know what your talking about Mark :D
vrodracing90 11-11-2008, 09:08 AM Yes, you need one. It will go out when you least expect it. I had one go out at the second race this year. Mine would shift threw all the gears but at the end of the track it would not down shift. It was locked on full ingauge. I had to kill the bike to make it release and then down shift. Some people whe it went out it would not shift at all. Yes, I strongly recomend you get a spare.
Awards night was great. I also got one more award and that was Racer of the Year. What a honor. This is a award that you get voted on to get.
Thanks Billy,

Nightnoise 11-13-2008, 04:46 AM Now Scotty, why wasn't she was sitting on the bike when we lifted it onto the stage, i wouldn't of minded the extra weight :angeldev:

rail240 11-13-2008, 09:46 AM Nah Mark, I don't think you could handle it ol' fella :angeldev:
Here is a few more pics of the promo girls from Indy as well.
This was the last "Indy Car" "CART" round on the Gold Coast. Apparently we are replacing them with A1 Grand Prix cars. Personally I think its Bullsh$t that apparently the government and the Indy promoters couldn't agree on a date for the race for future years.
Anyway, sorry blabbing on about car races ;)
Here you go guys. Pics of girls!!!
